Our allied health team is excited about the work ahead and supporting participants to achieve meaningful, evidence-based outcomes.

If your focus is on building skills, independence, and wellbeing, we welcome referrals to our multidisciplinary therapy team, delivering supports in line with the NDIS Therapy Operational Guidelines and best-practice requirements.

We currently offer:
• Physiotherapy
• Exercise Physiology
• Speech Pathology
• Occupational Therapy
• Social Work
• Developmental Educator
• Behaviour Support

All therapy supports are goal-focused, outcomes-driven, and aligned with NDIS requirements, including clear assessment, measurable outcomes, and collaborative planning with participants, families, and support networks.

Allied Health Assistants – extending your therapy further
We complement our therapies with skilled Allied Health Assistants:
• Belle, Bachelor of Exercise Science, currently halfway through her first year of a Master of Occupational Therapy

This model supports consistent practice in everyday environments, strengthens skill development, and ensures value for money within NDIS plans.

We’re Open – Welcome Home!

We’re excited to share that Welcome has officially reopened in our new and improved centre.

We’ve relocated back to our Harmony Building on Haig Street, where we’re beginning an exciting new era at our Welcome Centre — a space designed to bring people together, support our communities, and continue the work we’re proud to do.

If you’re passing by, pop in and say hi. We’d love to welcome you into the space, show you around, and share what’s ahead.

Dear communities and supporters.

As we approach the holiday season, we want to take a moment to thank our communities, partners, volunteers, and supporters for walking alongside us throughout the year.

This time of year means different things to different people, cultures, and faiths — but at its heart, it is about connection, reflection, and care for one another. We are grateful for the trust you place in us, the stories you share, and the strength and richness you bring to our communities.

We wish everyone a safe, happy, and peaceful holiday season, however and wherever you celebrate. May it be a time of rest, togetherness, and renewed hope.

We look forward to continuing to work with you in the year ahead.

Passing the Baton: Welcome’s New Ambassador

At our 2025 AGM, we marked an important moment in the life of Welcome Cultural Services. After many years of dedicated service, our long-standing Ambassador, Dr the Hon. Frank Madill, officially stepped down from his ambassadorial role. Frank has been a steadfast advocate for our organisation, our communities, and our mission—and his contribution will remain an enduring part of Welcome’s story. We extend our deepest gratitude for his commitment, wisdom, and friendship over the years.

We are equally excited to announce that the baton has now been passed to Deputy Mayor Hugh McKenzie, who will step into the role of Welcome’s new Ambassador. Hugh is a well-respected community leader with strong ties across Northern Tasmania, serving as President of the Northern Suburbs Community Centre and holding leadership roles in a range of local community service organisations. His passion for inclusive, thriving communities aligns deeply with our purpose.

Please join us in thanking Frank for his remarkable service, and in welcoming Hugh to the Welcome Cultural Services family. We look forward to the journey ahead—together, with community at the heart.

Launceston - A Unique Approach to Your NDIS Goals

At Welcome Disability Service, we do things differently.

When you come to us, we don’t just match you with one therapist — we look at your individual goals and create a multidisciplinary therapy plan tailored just for you.

Each therapy plan and Functional Capacity Assessment is developed with input and guidance from our allied health team to ensure the best outcomes for you.

If you’re unsure how to achieve your goals or what supports you might need, reach out to us today — we’ll help you break it down and build the right plan together.

Our multidisciplinary team includes:
