Last night I attended the annual dinner, and it was such a beautiful, heart-filling evening 💛

I donated an in-home massage to the silent auction and was absolutely thrilled that it received the highest bid it has in the past few years — with all funds going towards new floor furnishings for the birth centre, which has just had its lease renewed. Such wonderful news for our community!

At the heart of the night was celebrating the private midwives and the outstanding care they offer. I’m in awe of Marine, Michelle and Jaimee, and it was a beautiful farewell to Josephine. Phenomenal that Michelle had just attended three births in 24 hours and still arrived looking like an absolute goddess in a gorgeous white frock 🤍

My favourite part is always hearing the birth stories. One especially moving moment was a mama sharing her gratitude for our paths crossing so I could support her with lymphatic drainage massage during mastitis early postpartum — a true reminder of why I love this work 🥹

Add in a fascinating chat with retired midwife Anna Holloway about making a rosemary tincture, and a stunning venue at Alida Restaurant, and it truly was a magical night. ✨

Thank you Launceston Birth Centre for such a special evening 💋

This is going to be BIG… deep breath, Ayla 😅

I’m trying very hard to contain my excitement, but if I run into another perinatal professional, I just know I’m going to chew their ear off about our next Perinatal & Infant Network Meeting… because this one is something truly special.

Next month, we are absolutely thrilled to welcome Tasmania’s very own bestselling author, Jodi Wilson to our Perinatal & Infant Network meeting in Launceston.

Jodi is a bestselling author, yoga teacher, and postpartum doula. Her work has been published in The Guardian and ABC, and she writes two weekly newsletters on Substack. She lives in Tasmania with her partner and their four children. A Brain That Breathes is her fourth book.

Together, we’ll be exploring her latest book A Brain That Breathes through a perinatal lens.

Jodi is also the co-author of:
📚 The Complete Australian Guide to Pregnancy and Birth
📚 The Complete Guide to Postpartum
(co-authored with Sophie Walker)

No surprises here… the meeting is almost fully booked, with only a handful of spots remaining! 🙌

Jodi is fresh off the back of her national book tour, with A Brain That Breathes selling out across the country and receiving the most incredible feedback. To have her here in Launceston for such an intimate, in-person gathering feels incredibly special and I’m so proud to be bringing this opportunity to our local perinatal community.

If you’re lucky enough to already be a member, get ready for an inspiring, grounding, and deeply meaningful morning 🤍

If you’re not yet a member, slide into my DMs and I’ll share all the details on how to join the and attend.

✨ Bonus: Jodi will also have copies of her books available for purchase on the day, so you can buy directly from the author and support her beautiful work.

This one is going to be magic, see you there 🙌

I’ve been thoroughly enjoying cooking up a storm for my beautiful postpartum doula client over the past few weeks — making sure Mum is well fed with food that’s yummy, warming, grounding, and deeply nourishing to support her recovery and the massive demands of breastfeeding 🤍

I have had such a special pinch-me moment. This little fellow (my sous-chef assistant 😉) was my very first doula client three years ago. I get shivers thinking about it — here I am, caring for Mama again as she welcomes baby number two. What an absolute honour 🥰

Celebrating Blossoming Motherhood and all the hats I get to wear: from C-section massage to cooking, and hanging out with awesome little humans like Albert ✨

🌼 Golden 2026 💗

I’ve had the most dreamy summer holidays with my family. Sun-soaked days, full hearts, and my son’s favourite song (K-Pop Demon Hunters) on repeat 🎶

A client once described me “sunshine in human form” 🌞 it really stuck.

So for 2026, my plan is bright 💫
bring golden, nourishing care to families through every stage of motherhood.

The sunburn has healed, the holiday nails are gone, and I’m back behind the scenes, ready to make this year shine.

✨ Here’s what’s happening at Blossom Motherhood:
💛 Postpartum doula care — holding and supporting mamas in the golden month.
💗 C-section + abdominal scar release work — still going strong and close to my heart.
💛 Pregnancy comfort & Spinning Babies® techniques — honouring the sacred season and increasing mother comfort.

Did something a little out of my comfort zone this year and hosted the Doula Christmas party 🥳

It’s no secret this time of year is hectic for families, and with some of us being called to births or recovering from sleepless nights, it felt like a small miracle to get the four of us together.

The intimate group meant we had space for some real talk 🥰hopes and dreams for next year, reflections on our challenges, and something from 2025 we’re truly proud of.

I definitely went a bit nuts with the decorating 🙊 the biggest tree I could find from .valley.farm 🎀 a fully styled table, and the sweetest floral touches from 🙌🌸

We enjoyed sparkling wine and oysters with the most gorgeous tarragon dressing thoughtfully inspired from and very fittingly delivered the tarragon in a breastmilk storage bag 🌿😅

Thank you to the beautiful doulas who popped in and celebrated with me .her.tas xx 🥰

We had an incredible Perinatal Professional Network Meeting all about EMDR!

Therapist Danielle Jackson, shared the fascinating story of EMDR’s early discovery, how a psychologist’s insight during a “walk in the park” revealed that moving the eyes back and forth reduced emotional distress, leading to what’s now an evidence based and WHO-recognized trauma treatment 🌳 ⟶ ⟵ 🌳

The focus was on supporting mother’s navigating birth trauma. Danielle guided us through powerful case studies and practical tools, including the “Butterfly Hug” for Bilateral Stimulation 🦋 you can try it at home today!

Why EMDR has powerful results in the perinatal mental health space:
👁️ Trauma doesn’t have to be described in detail
👁️ Often leads to significant improvement from the first session and may require fewer sessions than other therapies
👁️ Non-mobile babies can attend non-processing sessions
👁️Achieve distancing and desensitisation. Danielle described the outcome as giving the client a “Birdseye view” - being able to sit with it safely.

Huge thanks to Danielle for sharing her wisdom (and headphones + hand clickers so we could experience EMDR ourselves!) 🎧

Next meeting: March 2026 - Professionals in the perinatal space, DM us to join the network!

P.S. Shout-out to Member Di, IBCLC- your shoes deserved their own slide! 🤱✨

It’s been my busiest month yet for births! 🌸

A few little videos of me dashing around, bringing my special rice pudding to mamas after the birth of their babies 💖

Included in my postpartum doula care packages:
✨ Postpartum-specialised rice pudding, once described as a “cross between a hug and a chai” her two favourite things 🥰 Ive now started organising to have all the ingredients at the Mum‘s home for the first postpartum care session because I’m almost guaranteed she’s gonna ask me to make it for her again.
✨ Hydramama by .co, supporting mamas with hydration and the perfect boost.
✨ Family-friendly treats, like a chocolate milkshake for a first-time dad because it’s his favourite 🥰
✨ Loving the sachets 🙌 individualised decadent hot drinks for the hospital- yes please and thank you very much! 🤤

Thank you so much Launceston mamas, and beyond for keeping me so busy! 😘

💌 Bookings for 2026 in home postpartum doula care are now open x

Spot the difference! 👀

I’ve always been terrible at those “spot the difference” games in magazines — but when it comes to C-section scar release, my clients are way better at noticing the changes than me!

Still, I 1000% know the magnificent shifts this technique brings because I see it happen in real time.
✨ I see the scars change colour.
✨ I see breath open up through the abdomen.
✨ I see the lightness in a mum’s face.
✨ I see confidence and reconnection.

It’s been busy! I’ve been so generously given permission to share a few beautiful results;

1️⃣ OMG the softening of the stretch marks 😍 The shelf has reduced and there’s more space and length through her whole abdomen.
2️⃣ Fellow practitioner Shaadeh said, “The corset is coming off!” and it’s so true. This client is two years postpartum and her breath has completely changed — from jittery and shallow to a beautiful big belly breath.
3️⃣ A little redness is normal as blood flow increases. I love how the after photo shows softness - no gripping under the ribs. We also visualised sending healing colours to her scar: pink + yellow came to her💓💛
4️⃣ I can’t stop watching this breath video! After two treatments, the reconnection is just phenomenal (even if my camera tried to sabotage me 😂).
5️⃣ After just one consultation - stretch marks softened and some nearly disappeared! Collagen rearrangement + increased blood flow = magic.
6️⃣ This mum is only 8 weeks postpartum - the dark shelf has lightened and the linea nigra has straightened as alignment returns 💫

Can you spot any other differences I’ve missed? 👀
If you’ve got questions about C-section scar release, my DMs are always open 💌

My calendar’s full until the end of the year, but I’ll be opening up bookings for early next year soon — so keep your eyes peeled! ✨

Here I am today at the Morning Tea, organised by the wonderful Josephine from the 🌞

Days like today remind me why I’m so passionate about supporting families through loss, my own journey began by honouring my sister-in-law and the incredible resource she created with 🪶

I’m also deeply grateful for the training I received from and my participation in the Massage for Pregnancy After Loss study

Even though I only made it for the last 30 minutes (after completing a C-section scar release session) that time was meaningful- connecting with midwives, doulas, and other professionals to talk about neonatal death, termination for medical reasons, and sharing experiences of caring for mothers after a SIDS loss.

This has been on my to-do list for a while now, but it’s time to finally bring it to life. While I already offer massage for mums after loss (you can find me on the Red Nose Practitioner Directory), I’m now working on creating a dedicated postpartum doula package specifically tailored for mums after loss.

Please keep asking me about it — it’s something families need like yesterday, and I’m determined to make it happen 🪽

A pregnancy massage with me is so much more than just a massage 💓

Each session is tailored to the mama 🥰 incorporating Spinning Babies techniques, and including complimentary little extras like Hydramama sachets, pregnancy teas, or homeopathic drops.

I also have an array of massage oils, essential oils, and balms to completely elevate the experience ☁️☁️

The word “restored” is a common theme in the feedback I receive, and many mamas also share that they feel light, floaty, and more comfortable through the hips after a session.

Supporting mamas through pregnancy and the Matrescence season is such a joy, helping them feel nurtured, grounded, and truly cared for.

🌿 Launceston Perinatal and Infant Mental Health Network meeting 🌿

We’re still buzzing after our breakfast meeting this morning!
A huge thank you to Belinda Wood and Alison Reader for sharing their insights and reflections from the 2025 Perinatal Mental Health Conference. It was inspiring to hear their highlights — we were all busy jotting down notes and exploring wonderful new resources to support families in our community 💛

We’re also excited to share that our group has recently been offered support from the Mental Health Professionals’ Network

This connection meant today we were able to welcome new practitioners to our circle — all passionate about helping families to thrive.

Today’s group included social workers, psychologists, midwives, IBCLCs, doulas, GPs, child health nurses and more.

If you’d like to connect and share your passion for supporting families and mental well-being, we’d love to see you at our next meeting at the end of November 🌸
