St.LukesHealth

St.LukesHealth St Lukes is a not-for-profit health fund, providing Health Insurance to Australians since 1952. At St Lukes, we’re committing to make Tasmanians healthier.

We know there’s a problem to solve. We also know that no one person, organisation or government can do it on their own. As a Tasmanian not-for-profit organisation, we’re going to be part of the solution. We’re imagining a healthier Tasmania – one where people are informed, empowered and confident about their health and their choices. Join us, as we work to make Tasmania the healthiest island on the planet.

When we think about improving our health, food often becomes associated with rules, restriction or dramatic change. Lasting wellbeing is built through awareness and small, consistent adjustments.

This month on the St Lukes wellbeing platform*, Eat Smart, Feel Great focuses on understanding how everyday food choices influence energy, focus and long-term health. Rather than striving for perfection, this month encourages curiosity, balance and practical strategies that support real working lives.

02/03/2026

As Tasmania’s leading not for profit health and wellness organisation, we remain committed to keeping premiums as affordable as possible while continuing to invest in services that support your health and wellbeing.

This year our premiums will increase by an average of 4.25%. This remains below the industry average (4.41%,) and lower than the average premium increases from both Bupa (4.8%) and Medibank (5.1%). The change reflects the rising cost of providing medical and hospital services – which rose 5% last financial year – and growing demand for services. Our 10-year average premium increase (3.26%) is lower than almost every other fund in Australia.

We're remaining focused on ensuring our members receive value from their private health insurance, advocating for better health outcomes, and ensuring our members can access timely health care.

Changes to premiums will take effect from April 1. More information can be found at stlukes.com.au/news/st-lukes-keeps-premium-increases-low-as-it-strengthens-commitment-to-tasmanians-health
