A quick cleansing technique after you’ve been somewhere a bit ‘urgh’ energy wise

We're not sure who needs to hear this today, but remember Kenyoku!

Kenyoku means "dry bathing" and is a Japanese Reiki technique for clearing one's energy. It is great for after a session, but Kenyoku is also a QUICK technique that can be used on-the-fly. Been into a grocery store and need to clear? Kenyoku! Need to clear after social media or news? Kenyoku! This technique can be subtle, and is always efficient, and effective!

1. Place your Right hand on your left shoulder
2. Stroke down your chest across your stomach and end at your right hip.
3. Do the same on the other side (left hand right shoulder).
4. Repeat step 1 and 2.
5. Extend your left arm.
6. Place your right hand on your left shoulder.
7. Stroke down your arm all the way to the hand and fingertips. Then fling your your right hand out into the air as though you were throwing away any negative energy.
8. Do the same with the right arm.
9. Repeat on the left arm.

Good news for those who have trouble finding time to make an appointment to have some relaxation and rejuvenation magic from reiki - I have a very flexible schedule so we should be able to find a time that suits your schedule too.
I’ll be offering crystal healings as well as my reiki in the new year too.

It's been a long time coming, but the Reiki study conducted at Harvard by members of the Center for Reiki Research (Dr. Natalie Dyer, Dr. Ann Baldwin, and William Rand) in 2015 and 2016 has now been accepted for publication in the Journal of Alternative and Complementary Medicine! This is the largest prospective Reiki study to date and hopefully will lead to more research.

A total of 1411 Reiki sessions were conducted and included in the analysis. Statistically significant improvements were observed for all outcomes of psychological and physical health, including pain, drowsiness, tiredness, nausea, appetite, shortness of breath, anxiety, depression, mood, and overall wellbeing, with moderate to large effect sizes (all p values < 0.001).
The results from this large-scale multi-site effectiveness trial suggest that a single session of Reiki improves physical and psychological health.
