🙏 Hello I am Chris, (Chris Hayes)
Welcome again to my page for connecting with people who enjoy the well-being, self-awareness and personal growth that comes through yoga. My own yoga practice, at least in this life time, got going in 1977 when I first went to the Gita School of Yoga at 21 Alfred Place, Melbourne, Australia. Eve Degen was my beloved first teacher of Hatha, I then practiced Kriya yoga with Susan Gabor and studied esoteric philosophy with the founder of the school Margrit Segesman. Later I would involve myself with the esoteric teachings and fraternity of Mario Schoenmaker. In 1983 I was at the Gita when the 'dynamic duo' Lucille Wood and Di Lucas took the reins. By 1991 I had graduated as a Gita teacher and was also involved with guiding yoga sessions through the Moreland Hall drug rehab outreach program. Through the 1990s I learnt special musculoskeletal mobilisation techniques and other healing skills with Dr N Guriel and in 1999 graduated as a Naturopath with a Health Science Degree from the Southern School of Natural Therapies. This launched my professional career as a holistic healer and would see me eventually establish my practice Enheal in 2002. As I pursued an ultimate profession as a healer I also worked in the technical world of large scale theatre productions. This was mostly at Arts Centre Melbourne where I had significant involvement in developing technical training, doing high risk work rigging, reforming health and safety practices and performing roles in senior management. I am currently a member of Gita Teachers Guild, Yoga Australia and Australian Traditional Medicine Society. Most importantly, I would like to say, I simply love sharing the practice of yoga with others.
