Elanco Australia prioritises diversity and inclusion in the workplace, fostering a culture of involvement, respect and connection where all of our employees are valued, involved and supported. We are excited to share some highlights from our IDEA initiatives in 2025, including:

*Cultural integration*

To commemorate our Australian office reopening in February, we installed a framed artwork titled ‘Harmony' 2023 by Annie Roberts (Waralungku Arts, Borroloola), which celebrates Indigenous Australian culture and reflects the importance of fostering connection among the different groups working together at Elanco. We also held meaningful celebrations focused on education around Easter and the Day of the Dead, highlighting the significance of these cultural traditions in certain cultures.

*Celebrating the women in our workplace*

For International Women's Day, our employees participated in the Inspire Women Program and Women in Leadership educational initiatives. Our team also participated in a variety of women’s health education sessions throughout the year to raise awareness of women’s specific health needs, including menopause education and breast cancer awareness.

*Understanding our differences*

Our team participated in multigenerational education, which offered practical insights into bridging the generational gap in the workplace and into how diverse age groups can form highly effective teams when inclusion is prioritised. We also celebrated the International Day of People with Disability.

*Accessibility for all*

To help us learn how best to support our employees so they can reach their full potential, we enjoyed an insightful presentation from Professor James St John on updates from the Spinal Cord Injury Project (SIP). Today is Love Your Pet Day, and we couldn’t let it pass without sharing the faces that make our days a little brighter.

Meet some of the pets who keep our team smiling, whether they’re curled up under the desk, socialising at our office, popping up on video calls, or reminding us when it’s time for a break. Their lives are incredibly special, and we cherish every moment with them.

Our pets inspire us to live our values of making life better for animals, and it’s a wonderful reminder that the work we do truly makes a difference.

An incredible few days at the 2026 AIRR Tucker’s Conference on the Gold Coast!

This conference represented a significant milestone: celebrating 20 years of partnership, progress, and shared success and achievement.

We had a great time connecting with AIRR and Tucker’s members and sharing an exciting update on the latest in Elanco innovation. It was a privilege to be nominated in the Animal Health Supplier category and celebrate the successes of all nominated businesses at the gala dinner together.

This year, Elanco is proud to be supporting local charities, including the Petbarn Foundation Tree of Hope Appeal. The Tree of Hope at Petbarn will be contributing donations to over 90 pet based charities throughout Australia, including the RSPCA, Australian Pet Welfare Foundation, Empower Assistance Dogs, VRA Rescue Dogs, and much more.

This year, the Petbarn Foundation is aiming to raise over $1.8 million in donations to aid over 90 worthwhile causes throughout Australia. Some of the important initiatives that the Petbarn Foundation will contribute donations to include:

- Saving rescue pets by providing food, shelter and veterinary care, and helping pets to find safe, loving homes.

- Helping communities in need by delivering vet care and supplies.

- Domestic violence support for families and their pets, with safe accommodation and veterinary care in time of crisis.

- Funding therapy dogs to assist people with a disability or mental health needs.

This December 9th, the International Day of Veterinary Medicine 2025, we celebrate vets, vet nurses and their clinic staff, who are some of the hardest working members of our community.

We appreciate the tireless work that vet professionals do every day to ensure the health of our special pets, and we recognise that their job can be extremely stressful, with long hours and low pay, as well as being emotionally draining, all of which contribute to poor mental health for vet professionals.

That’s why the Betterinary Series of short online courses have been created by Elanco’s well-being and consulting veterinarian, Dr Heidi Hulon. These courses are designed to improve the health and well-being of veterinary staff by equipping them with how to best manage their stress, practice self-care and promote a healthy-work life balance. Happy National Agriculture Day! 🚜

Today, we celebrate the incredible backbone of our nation – Australia's agricultural industry.

A huge thank you to our dedicated farmers who work tirelessly, day in and day out to produce the food and fibre that nourishes and clothes all Australians. We also thank them for playing a vital role in nurturing our environment and continuously innovating to sustainably support our future generations. Our team had a fantastic time at the recent PETstock Group Conference 2025. We were proud to be Diamond sponsors of the event, which was held in the Hunter Valley. Over the 3 days, we connected, learnt, and celebrated Advocate’s 21st Birthday with PETstock retail, vet, and support office team members.

We enjoyed participating as a platinum sponsor in the Greencross Pet Wellness Company Connect 25 Clinic & Retail Conference, which took place from Saturday 25th October to Thursday, 30th October at Sydney Showground, Sydney Olympic Park.

The event name, “Connect 25,” perfectly embodied the essence of what the event was all about: a strengthened bond and partnership with all the people that make the world a better place for pets. We loved the engagement and passion from each individual delegate as we celebrated birthday milestones (Advocate turned 21!) and new product launches.

Being a part of Connect 25 was a unique opportunity for us to interact with veterinary professionals and retail staff. We were able to learn, collaborate, and exchange knowledge and experiences that will help to advance the health and wellness of pets across Australia.

As part of Elanco’s Global Day of Purpose 2025, we proudly partnered with Foodbank to help support Australians doing it tough this holiday season.

Twelve of our colleagues joined other volunteers to pack 780 hampers of pantry staples and festive treats. These hampers will go toward Foodbank’s goal of distributing 50,000 Christmas hampers this year – up from 40,000 last year – reflecting the growing need in our communities.

We’re so proud of our team for contributing their time and energy to such a meaningful cause.
