Elanco Australia prioritises diversity and inclusion in the workplace, fostering a culture of involvement, respect and connection where all of our employees are valued, involved and supported. We are excited to share some highlights from our IDEA initiatives in 2025, including:
*Cultural integration*
To commemorate our Australian office reopening in February, we installed a framed artwork titled ‘Harmony' 2023 by Annie Roberts (Waralungku Arts, Borroloola), which celebrates Indigenous Australian culture and reflects the importance of fostering connection among the different groups working together at Elanco. We also held meaningful celebrations focused on education around Easter and the Day of the Dead, highlighting the significance of these cultural traditions in certain cultures.
*Celebrating the women in our workplace*
For International Women's Day, our employees participated in the Inspire Women Program and Women in Leadership educational initiatives. Our team also participated in a variety of women’s health education sessions throughout the year to raise awareness of women’s specific health needs, including menopause education and breast cancer awareness.
*Understanding our differences*
Our team participated in multigenerational education, which offered practical insights into bridging the generational gap in the workplace and into how diverse age groups can form highly effective teams when inclusion is prioritised. We also celebrated the International Day of People with Disability.
*Accessibility for all*
To help us learn how best to support our employees so they can reach their full potential, we enjoyed an insightful presentation from Professor James St John on updates from the Spinal Cord Injury Project (SIP). In 2026, we’re looking forward to sharing more meaningful IDEA initiatives that support our people and our purpose through a continued focus on health and wellbeing, cultural integration and education, so we can foster a culture of empowerment, value and respect for all our employees, aiding our innovation and growth.
