Another successful (and very fun!) Field Friday Night Social 🌅

Mia and I were slightly worried we might be hosting an intimate gathering… but as it turns out, we had a fantastic turnout with plenty of smiling faces and great energy all around!

We enjoyed delicious food, wonderful company, and the beautiful atmosphere at Henley Beach. With the golf tournament bringing extra buzz to the area, there was plenty happening and an amazing selection of food on offer.

To top it all off, we were treated to a stunning sunset — the perfect backdrop for a relaxed and social evening.

A big thank you to everyone who came along and made the night such a success. We’re already looking forward to the next one!

Mia has worked incredibly closely with Jackson and Sophie, especially during a time when they felt uncertain about what the future might look like with Jackson finishing school. Through her consistent support and encouragement, she has helped bring them together every fortnight for dedicated Sunday date sessions. She also ensures they see each other weekly at indoor cricket, keeping their connection strong and consistent.

There are even more plans in the pipeline to create additional opportunities for them to spend time together, strengthening, nurturing and enhancing their relationship as they move forward.

A huge congratulations to Mia for her commitment, care and hard work in helping something truly special continue to grow. And well done to Jackson and Sophie for the love, dedication and commitment they show each other each week.

It’s a privilege to support relationships that truly matter. 💛

Back out horse riding with Hannah’s Horses today! 🐴

Jack and Felix absolutely loved it — and so did Alex and Hayden. It’s such a blessing to still be able to get around the animals, even in this hot weather.

Hannah has everything covered — plenty of super-duper cold water and some great shady spots to cool down. Not to mention that unbeatable feeling of getting out into the country and away from the hustle, bustle, and heat of the city.

Fresh air, wide open space, good company and beautiful horses… hard to beat.

I just want to say a huge thank you to everyone in our community who sent through birthday wishes today — the messages, calls and kind words honestly meant a lot.

It’s been a slightly interesting birthday in our house… let’s just say Gastro decided it wanted an invite too 🤦‍♂️ Not exactly the party guest I had in mind.

Despite that, I was very spoiled by my beautiful family and reminded how blessed I am — not just at home, but in this incredible community. The kindness, warmth and generosity you all show (not just to me, but to everyone) is something really special.

Feeling very grateful today. Thank you all for making an otherwise “gastro-glamorous” birthday one to remember 😅

D and suburbs from Mount Lofty — absolutely beautiful.

The best part is getting to do what these guys choose to do on their Tuesdays. Every other Tuesday we swap it out for horse riding with Hannah, so there’s always something different on the cards.

Quick heads-up: this Friday is my birthday 🎂 (not saying how old I’m turning 😅) and I’ve been strongly advised by my wife Maddie that I’m not allowed to work — so no Friday night socials this week.

Everything else is running as normal: indoor cricket and all regular sessions, including any you already have booked in with me.

Love what we get to do.

🏏 Indoor Cricket is back this Sunday!

Just a heads up — Friday Night Socials is cancelled next week, and the week after we’re switching it to Saturday night so we can all enjoy watching the State of Origin together 🏉🔥

We’re really looking forward to seeing everyone at Indoor Cricket this Sunday. This week we’re switching things up and playing kick cricket instead — things have been getting a little… creative lately 😄 (less cricket, more running amok).

Let’s come along, have some laughs, enjoy each other’s company, and play a good game together.

🏹 Archery at My Mates Place 🏹

I probably don’t brag about this enough, but we run an extremely active, fun, and seriously impressive field archery program at My Mates Place.

Our sessions are led by Joel, a national-level coach, who gets out regularly with his team on Saturdays, plus smaller and more individualised sessions during the week as needed. No standing around pretending you meant to miss the target here 😉

At the moment we’ve got a strong group of archers — David, Chris, Cam, Tyler and Matthew — all of whom have competed at state level, with their sights firmly set on a national competition in Tasmania this year 🎯

If this sounds like something you’d like to be part of — getting outdoors, flinging some sticks, enjoying great company, and being part of a supportive team environment — we’d love to hear from you.
