Well the time has finally arrived for mine and Lily’s trip to the UK! As we sit here waiting in the airport, I am reflecting on this past year—deep in thought, as I usually am at 2am 🥴.
It has been an incredibly challenging year, to say the least. Every year brings its own hurdles, but this one felt like a whole new level. I never understood the true weight of losing a participant until it happened… and then to lose three within weeks was absolutely heartbreaking. The impact was something I/we could never have prepared for.
And it wasn’t just us who felt the heaviness of this year. So many people around us faced illness, loss, and major life change!
There has been so much to reflect on… to learn from… to accept… and eventually, to embrace. But one thing has stood out more than anything: when life gets tough, people pull closer. All the noise falls away, and what truly matters is being there for one another. The love, the respect, the care….it becomes everything.
Being a provider or support worker is so much more than a title. For me it’s a career built on heart, patience, and purpose. It’s being a mentor, a guide, sometimes even an anchor when the everything feels overwhelming. It’s showing up emotionally, mentally, and physically to help someone live a life filled with dignity, confidence, and joy.
It’s advocating when their voice isn’t heard, celebrating their wins no matter how small, and standing beside them through the hardest moments. It’s providing consistency, security, and genuine care. It’s helping someone grow, feel supported, and experience a quality of life they truly deserve.
This role asks for strength, empathy, resilience, and compassion… but it gives back in ways that can’t be put into words. It shapes you. It changes you. And it connects you to people in the most meaningful, lasting ways!
May 2026 be more gentle to all of us!
I am going to enjoy a well deserved break and quality time with my Lily whilst the old man watches the fort!!
See you soon!! ✈️🥶 ⛄️ we are hoping for snow so
Just putting it out there!! 🤗

My story - Kelly Bampton - Managing Director of KB Infinity Support
I would like to introduce myself and share my story with you.
My name is Kelly Bampton and I am married to my husband Craig and we have 3 children. We also have a brand new grandson, born just a few short weeks ago. Not forgetting our doggies Zed & Annie.
We live on the beautiful Sunshine Coast and have lived here for the last 9 years, since emigrating here from the UK. We love where we live and feel grateful for it every day.
I have worked in the care industry from a very young age and have now clocked up over 20 years experience between the UK and my time here in Australia. I have had the privilege of working with many mentors over the years, who have had strong values when it has come to providing services to adults/ children that have a disability.
Those lessons, life experiences and strong values have had a great impact on how I believe what a Service should look like and more importantly, how it should be delivered.
Having a disability does not define who you are, we are all different and unique and all have the ability to to achieve our dreams and life goals. Some just need more support than others.
When I am not working I love to spend time with my crazy family (never a dull moment). We love our time together, enjoying the Sunshine Coast lifestyle, including of course, many days at the beach. I also love to keep fit and healthy.
My organisation - KB Infinity Support - believe that Equality and Diversity are the very core of inclusion for everybody and by providing a strong valued service, we are able to empower and support people with a disability to shape their future, knowing that the possibilities are endless.
Through equality and diversity, KB Infinity Support would like to inspire and create communities where people with a disability are able to feel included, supported and are able to achieve their goals and aspirations.
