Every year, more than 19,000 Australian women are diagnosed with breast cancer. Early detection of breast cancer means there are more treatment options, and the chances of survival are greatest.

We would like to welcome Dr Claire Cupitt to our Marulan Medical Centre .
Dr Claire will work on Fridays and will increase her availability according to her patient demand.
Dr Claire will commence this Friday 12th May and also next Friday 19th May between 9am and 4:30pm.

Dr Claire has been a Rural GP in Western NSW for over 30 years. Dr Claire moved to Paddys River in 2013 and has continued to do regular work in Western NSW and Goulburn.
Dr Claire’s areas of interest include chronic pain (now successfully using acupuncture for many patients); women's health; children's health; musculoskeletal health and Mental Health.

We will be welcoming another GP to Marulan!
Dr Srinivasan (Sri) Thiagarajah BMedSc (UTAS), MBBS (UTAS). Started his medical studies in University of Jaffna, Sri Lanka and graduated from the University of Tasmania in 2004. Dr Sri then worked as an intern and RMO in Launceston General Hospital, Tasmania for 3 years and has also worked as a CMO in Emergency Department in Regional Hospitals for 7 years. Dr Sri has also worked as a GP in Sydney for the last 5 years and in Darwin for 3 years prior to that.
Special interests include:
- children and adolescents’ health
- management of chronic medical conditions
- management of various skin conditions
Dr Sri also is continuing his studies to manage different diseases in all areas of General Practice.

Welcoming Dr Imran Syed to Marulan Medical Centre. Dr Imran Syed Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS), Pakistan 2006, also holds a Diploma in Childhood Health DCH USyd and a Master’s in health management and Public Health.
Dr Imran has been working as a GP since 2020 and also has a strong background in emergency medicine.
Dr Imran enjoys all areas of general practice including skin cancer checks, children’s health and chronic disease management. In his personal time Dr Imran enjoys cycling, family time with his two young children and playing sports.
