Our hearts at Hardi Support Services go out to the Wilson family, the family of one of our cherished participants, during this incredibly difficult time. Their beautiful young boy, Malakye, a non-verbal autistic child with ASD Level 3 and ADHD, is currently fighting for his life in a Brisbane hospital after a tragic drowning incident on Easter Saturday.

This family has truly been through so much recently. Just one month ago, they suffered the heartbreaking loss of their grandmother. Now, they are facing every parent's worst nightmare, with both parents needing to stop working to be by Malakye's side and care for their other children. The financial burden of travel, lost wages, and ongoing expenses is immense.

We are sharing their GoFundMe campaign in hopes of rallying support for them. Any donation, big or small, will help ease their financial strain and allow them to focus on Malakye's recovery. If you are unable to donate, please consider sharing this post to help spread the word.

Recognising the growing demand for swift, comfortable, and stylish transportation, we have acquired a state-of-the-art Airbus A380, affectionately named "The Compassionate Cruiser." This massive, double-decker aircraft will be dedicated to ensuring our participants arrive at their appointments, community events, or even family gatherings with unprecedented speed and comfort. Imagine bypassing traffic, enjoying gourmet in-flight meals tailored to your dietary needs, and experiencing breathtaking aerial views of the Fraser Coast – all while receiving the same dedicated HARDI care.Our highly trained support workers are currently undergoing advanced aviation training, including in-flight entertainment management and cloud-based community access planning. Support Worker – Hervey Bay
HARDI Support Services is looking for reliable and committed Support Workers to join our team in Hervey Bay.
We are currently hiring for two separate positions:
Position 1 – Sleepover Support Worker
3 sleepover shifts per week
Approx. 18 hours per week + sleepover allowance
Overnight presence with the ability to respond if required
Calm, responsible, and reliable approach essential
Position 2 – Day Support Worker
Approx. 7 hours per week available
Supporting participants with daily living and community access
Focus on engagement, independence, and person-centred care
About the Role:
You will be supporting participants with daily living, community access, and providing consistent, person-centred care. Both roles require building genuine relationships and delivering high-quality support.
What We’re Looking For:
Minimum Certificate III in Individual Support, Aged Care, or equivalent
Current Blue Card & Yellow Card (NDIS Worker Screening)
Driver’s licence and reliable vehicle
Strong reliability and consistency (turning up matters)
Ability to build genuine, respectful relationships with participants
First Aid & CPR (highly regarded)
