💉 Egg Freezing
Trigger warning for anyone who has a fear of needles or has gone through the IVF, egg freezing process, struggled to conceive naturally or had miscarriage(s), this content may be too close to home for you, so feel free to stop watching.

Don’t be disheartened by the count, I recorded as I went and only with the benefit of hindsight, I’m aware that it can be hard for others to hear, as it became for me too.

If you need to talk please reach out to your loved ones, a professional, you’re not alone.

It has been a week and a bit since this egg freezing process was completed and only now have I felt comfortable with being vulnerable & sharing.

I’ll allow you to watch the video,but I just want to say that I see each and every one of you who are on the pursuit of motherhood. Whether it be preparing for the future, wanting to start now, my experience reminds me nothing is easy.

HOWEVER let this not deter you from going after what you want. I am sad, but not in the slightest bit defeated. I will be a mum one day.

My choice was not to do it now, it was one I made to prepare myself for the future as I have and which was confirmed at the beginning of the year when I had my first Laproscope.

This is also not an endorsement to go through this either, it’s your choice, I have a medical condition which makes the optics a little worse for me and given my relationship status or lack of, and age, I wanted to safeguard this dream of mine.

Spoiler alert to anyone who didn’t watch the entire video, I found out after my procedure that they removed all 20 mature follicles, only to everyone’s dismay, only3 eggs were found, due to the trigger shot failing. My team were incredible from start to finish, unfortunately this is what sometimes occurs.

This caused a level of distress for me and a decision to undertake the process again. So I will be documenting and sharing once Egg Freezing 2.0 begins.

For now I am resting and recharging, connecting with loved ones and allowing my body, mind and soul to heal in preparation for what’s to come.
