Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality client care, including but not limited to catheter changing, wound wrapping, and other medical assessments. The RN will collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement comprehensive care plans tailored to meet the individual needs of patients.
Responsibilities:
- Perform catheter changing and maintenance procedures with precision and adherence to infection control protocols.
- Administer wound care treatments, including cleaning, dressing, and monitoring wound healing progress.
- Conduct thorough medical assessments to evaluate patients' health status and response to treatments.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement comprehensive care plans.
- Educate patients and their families on proper wound care techniques and medication management.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records/documentation.
- Adhere to all regulatory standards, policies, and procedures to ensure patient safety and compliance.
Qualifications:
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Australia
- Minimum 1 year of nursing experience in a clinical setting, preferably with experience in catheter changing, wound care, and medical assessments.
- Strong clinical assessment skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize patient care tasks.
- Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
