Have you recently been diagnosed with POTs (Postural Orthastatic Tachycardia)?

Are you struggling to manage this condition?

Are you having issues regulating your BP?

Are you frustrated by constant exhaustion and limitations surrounding exercise intolerance?

Feeling overwhelmed and having no luck with medications perscribed by specialists?

Needing advice or support to implement strategies with proven results?

Are you lacking support or have noone to talk to who understands what you are going through?

Many years of trial and error, extensive research of different diets, exhausting the literature currently available, trialling of medications you name it had sent me in a vicious cycle. Overwhelmed and helpless from lack of successful outcomes each time would result in an increase of symptoms due to the added stress and frustration.

Finally..... what worked best was understanding how to tone down the flight or fight response and calming the limbic system through mindfulness, vagus nerve exercises, dynamic neural retraining (neuroplasticity based techniques) and low histamine diet.

Feel free to message me or book phone consult for support to implement tools and action plans that can help you navigate your way to better management and healing.

Life can throw unexpected health challengers and in many cases illnesses that seem to baffle not only ourselves but the health professionals.

Although no one’s journey will be identical to the next many will find themselves facing a similar uphill battle. One thing those with chronic mystery illness have in common is the need to understand the important connection between the mind, body and soul and when to take control through knowledge and self-advocacy. The need to recognise when this connection is in disharmony and how we can ease the burdens of dis-ease to successfully navigate through what can sometimes feel like never ending battle.

Combining tools from my own personal journey along with extensive experience working with disadvantaged youth, adults and individual's of all ages with mental health or chornic illness to achieve successful positive outcomes.

With the current times as we shift into the unknown there are many struggling who may feel overwhelmed and a sense of loneliness.

As a qualified mental health and wellbeing worker with extensive experience dealing with adults and youth I acknowledge the need surrounding support for people who may not be currently interconnected with such services or support networks.

From my own past experiences with complex chronic illness/ chronic pain and the mental toll this can have, it was my fuel that lead my passion for further study and work within this area. Although sometimes it can feel like one is taking two steps forward and ten back, their is always room for growth and enhanced positive outcomes in individuals wellbeing and mental health.

Focusing on holistic approaches from talk therapy/counselling, education on how to incorporate Neuroplasticity techniques to influence positive outcomes. In turn bringing back sense of control for individuals to maximise their individual wellbeing on a mind, body and soul level.

Feel free to PM me if have any questions.

Take care and keep the good vibes flowing. 🙏💖

The stages of Emotions when overwhelmed with a new diagnosis or complex mystery illness can be lonely and difficult.
But what is encouraging is their is always HOPE through the power of Neuroplasticity and Mindfulness.

The mind is a powerful tool. Once we become conscious of the negative thought patterns we may be recirculating unwillingly then we can intervene, rewire and stop the vicious cycle. Redirecting ones focus to increase the potential for positive outcomes instead of fuelling the depression and anxiety that can come with complex illness is key.

A few people who have reached out lately regarding issues that have either progressed or newly experienced who are suffering after the Vs and/ or C who are not getting answers from the health system.

Please know that some of the issues are due to the vagus nerve.

What is the Vagus Nerve?

The Vagus nerve, also called X cranial nerve or 10th cranial nerve is the longest and most complex of the cranial nerves. The vagus nerve runs from the brain through the face and thorax to the abdomen. It is a mixed nerve that contains parasympathetic fibres. It can impact the body on such a wide scale leaving many feeling overwhelmed and confused.

Additionally, many usually healthy people who have passed out days later after their Vs and been frightened by this experience. Which is understandable. As a POTS sufferer myself I recall the frightening feeling of my first ever episode and blackout well before Pots was even being recognised. And in many cases it is the overstimulation of this nerve that is a contributing factor.

When the vagus nerve has too many hits ie. Ongoing trauma, high consistent stress, damage via a virus or in some cases Vs this becomes problematic.

Their are many ways in which you can support the vagus nerve by utilising tools to enhance the parasympathatic system (rest and digest) and tone down the sympathetic (flight or fight) response.

If anyone needs any good resources for someone they know having issues pm me and ill send you some self help tools. 💕.

Note: Ofcourse always speak to youre GP also about youre concerns to rule out other underlining issues.

- take care and keep the good vibes flowing 🙏
