After a full year of honing skills, building strength, and learning how to run under fatigue, our big day finally arrived and what an adrenaline-filled, unforgettable experience it was.
As the coach of this incredible group of athletes, I have never felt prouder. Watching every single person give their absolute best, push through every station, and cross that finish line was something truly special. The joy, relief and pure pride on everyone’s faces at the end is a moment I’ll never forget.
HYROX is a running race and for many of us (myself included), running wasn’t something we had done before this journey began.
To see this entire crew run the full 8km (no walking, no quitting) is nothing short of amazing and a true reflection of the work put in behind the scenes week after week.
A special thank you to Emma for jumping into our relay team so three of our members didn’t miss out on this experience that’s what this community is all about.
And a shout-out to Rory, who trained relentlessly all year for Men’s Open but unfortunately had to pull out at the last minute due to a recurring back injury. We know how hard you worked and how disappointing that was this was only a pause, not the end. There will absolutely be a next time.
What a day. What a team. What an achievement. 💪🔥
