Post COVID, the Bipolar Life Support Group Program has been revitalised with a simple mission: create a safe, supportive space where people could talk openly about their bipolar disorder diagnosis online and in person.

Today, we’re proud to celebrate how much our community has achieved together.

Each session has been a reminder that human connection matters. every shared conversation, every empathic ear, and every act of reassurance has helped someone feel seen, heard, and supported.

This impact belongs to everyone who has been part of the program—most importantly the attendees and the facilitators, volunteers and community supporters who continue to bolster the program with their strength, resilience and pride to be a part of this special service.

Being a part of the bipolar community provides so much more than support, especially in March as it is World Bipolar Day on Monday 30th March.

Looking ahead, we are commitment to continuing to support more individuals and families to have better outcomes.

World Bipolar Day is an important global awareness day dedicated to increasing understanding of bipolar disorder and reducing the stigma surrounding the condition.

Each year on March 30, we encourage open conversations about living with bipolar disorder—exploring both the challenges and the strengths of those affected.

The 2026 theme is “Break the Stigma.” Stigma can discourage people living with bipolar disorder from leading the full and meaningful lives they deserve. Greater awareness and understanding from families, friends, and workplaces can help challenge judgement and stereotypes that often lead to isolation within the bipolar community.

This year, Bipolar Life will be celebrating World Bipolar Day on Sunday, 29 March 2026 at the MHFA Offices in South Yarra. It will be a full day of connection and learning, featuring panel discussions, interactive activities, food, and trivia.
Festivities begin at 11:00am and will continue throughout the day. Family members, friends, and carers are warmly invited to attend alongside guests who are living with bipolar disorder. Free registration: https://form.jotform.com/Projco/register-WBD2026

The day will also provide an opportunity to share information about symptoms, treatment, and support, while encouraging the public to better understand bipolar disorder. By bringing together people with living experience, researchers, and academics, the event aims to promote education, understanding, and hope.

We hope to see you there come and celebrate with us.
