October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month & this year feels especially meaningful.
After walking through one of the hardest chapters of my life, I can finally say that my inner spring has returned.
The years since my diagnosis have taught me more about resilience, surrender & self-compassion than I ever could have imagined. Healing hasn’t been linear, it’s been cyclical, like the seasons & I’ve learned to honour every part of that rhythm; the stillness, the grief & now… the quiet renewal.
Breast Cancer Awareness Month isn’t just about pink ribbons. It’s a reminder — to pause, check in & care for the body that carries you.
Here’s what I want you to remember this month & always:
* Know your normal — get familiar with how your breasts look & feel.
* Check regularly — lumps are not the only sign; look for changes in size, shape, skin texture, ni**le appearance, or any dimpling or puckering of the skin.
* Be mindful of any ni**le discharge, especially if it’s bloody or occurs without squeezing.
* Trust your intuition — if something feels off, don’t dismiss it. Your body is wise & is fluent in the language of symptoms. Listen carefully.
To everyone still in their winter; please know you’re not alone. Healing takes time & I hope you gift yourself all the tenderness & compassion you deserve. To those beginning to bloom again; may you feel your strength returning with the light.
Let’s keep raising awareness, supporting one another & honouring the power of early detection & hope.
