♨️How Do You Control The Temperature…

We get asked this often so let’s break it down simply crew.

➡️ The fire is the lever to your FireTub & heating. No buttons, no pumps or electronics. Just some common sense and practical application.

➡️ As the fire burns, a process known as a ‘thermal siphon’ is activated which is responsible for the circulation within the FireTub. Cool water is drawn into the hose & coil via the lower port where the water heats & circulates upwards within the coil via convection. This is the ‘heat up phase’

➡️ Once you are within 5-10 degrees of your desired hot tub temperature simply stop adding wood to the coil stack. As the fire degrades & dies down so too will the circulating flow thus resulting in no further temperature gain.

➡️ Each FireTub kit comes with a floating temperature gauge to monitor the water temperature – the standard hot tub range is 36-40 degrees.

➡️ To achieve this temperature it takes approx 90-120 minutes (our 6ft ‘Big Banter’) & several wood loads within the coil so the heating is gradual & controlled given the user is adding wood to the coil stack as required.

➡️ People commonly think that a few logs thrown in the coil stack is going to cause the water to overheat rapidly but that’s just not the reality!
