Fast feet series of exercises for you to try!
You can switch up the intervals as you like, but the aim here is to go as fast as you can, so keep the intervals short and intense.

Start with this:
10 sec fast/10 sec slow x3 of 5 exercises of your choice.
= 5 mins

See how the calves pull up from that and add most sets or exercises as you like!

Block net focusing on smooth lunges and a controlled core to allow control through the shot.
If your lunge or core is unsteady or collapsing then it makes it 10 times harder to control your shot!

Backhand defence pull shot

Tip 1: Lead with your elbow and then rotate the forehand through to get the power.
Tip 2: Ideally make contact with the shuttle side on to your body, then make sure to pull the arm through to bring your body back into court for the next shot.
Tip 3: The further shuttle is behind your body, the more your rotate your grip to forehand pan handle grip. Think about making the racquet face parallel with the net (because that’s where we want it to go).

Have you ever missed an easy net kill? 😩
It happens to everyone but it’s usually a sign you’re not spending enough time training the front court.

Most players focus on the back court because it feels more powerful. But the truth is, a strong front court game wins you those quick points and sets up easy finishes. 🏸

Here are a few simple drills to help you improve:
1️⃣ Net tapping drills — focus on control and consistency
2️⃣ Racket-up reaction drills — build faster reflexes
3️⃣ Front-court shadow movement — improve speed and balance
4️⃣ Intercept & recover — learn to move back into position after attacking

Train your front court as seriously as your rear court.
That’s what makes a complete player.
