Since I just hit 2 million on YouTube, I thought I’d use this as an opportunity to reflect and share some of my personal lessons with you.

2016 trend. 10 years ago:
- still in med school, working/studying 100 hours a week
- doing my Honours research to publish in Ophthalmology
- teaching in hourly-rental classrooms and cafes
- finished pilot year of my non-profit mentoring program (still figuring out how to teach learning skills at scale)
- went to Korea to learn popping from one of the best
- second year of creating online video lessons (this was still pretty uncommon back then - actually most people didn’t do online training until COVID)

In the following years I’d become a doctor, unbecome a doctor, start a YouTube channel, start a new business, complete my Masters, and a bunch of huge changes to my personal life.

Had a blast running todays workshop with
The title was “Study like a doctor”

This was actually the same title as one of the first large workshops I ran on study skills back in 2017.

Before that I’d only done classes and private coaching so that workshop was my first attempt at a large format study skills seminar.

Who would’ve thought I’d get to travel to another country to run the workshops on invitation from Australia’s largest medical student convention.

Working with med students is always fun. Kind of a foot back in my old world and it always gives me a full circle kind of feeling.

Looking forward to tomorrow’s half-day workshop with one of Australia’s largest companies!
