I’ve realised that a lot of decisions are made just to escape the feeling of uncertainty. Even if they’re bad decisions, we stick with them because at least it feels stable.

There is nothing wrong with being unconfident.

When you are confident about something, people have a tendency to become more close-minded about it.

They come to conclusions prematurely. They have opinions that they hold too strongly.

It’s better to be not confident, honest, and open to actually getting to the truth than feeling all confident while being loudly and proudly wrong.

Of course companies can try to improve the culture and make the workplace something that you don’t want to leave in the first place but this is really complicated and actually harder to do when you have more people.

Had a blast running todays workshop with
The title was “Study like a doctor”

This was actually the same title as one of the first large workshops I ran on study skills back in 2017.

Before that I’d only done classes and private coaching so that workshop was my first attempt at a large format study skills seminar.

Who would’ve thought I’d get to travel to another country to run the workshops on invitation from Australia’s largest medical student convention.

Working with med students is always fun. Kind of a foot back in my old world and it always gives me a full circle kind of feeling.

Looking forward to tomorrow’s half-day workshop with one of Australia’s largest companies!
