Wishing you a Merry Christmas from outside your window!😯🤣

This is my creepy Christmas profile photo that I've posted on Facebook for the last 15 years.🧑‍🎄🎄😆

I was thinking of stopping this tradition this year but I was told in no uncertain terms that I will be continuing. Soooo here you go.🤪

Wishing everyone a peaceful Christmas.🎄🌟

Just finished another Sunday morning womb massage for another first timer.🙌✨ This beautiful woman runs her own businesses, is under a lot of stress, has some menstrual pain and irregular cycles, has been diagnosed with 'blood stagnation' by her TCM practitioners, and would like to have children one day in the future. Interestingly, she also has a bicornuate uterus.😍

Today my goal was to provide nourishing medicine through an individualised treatment by:
❤️Allowing relaxation and de-stress time
❤️Loosening and softening tense and tight areas of her body
❤️Increase blood circulation (everywhere, but mainly fresh oxygenated blood to her reproductive organs)
❤️Check and assist if needed with positioning of anatomy (uterus, etc)
❤️See if there was anything else that presented itself as needing attention

My clients often fall asleep and I feel privileged that they feel comfortable enough to do so. This is a unique treatment for women that is pure medicine.🥰

Afterwards during our debrief, one of the things that came up was some discomfort when I was gently working on her solar plexus area - the 'maternal line'. This made a lot of sense for her in relation to the idea of herself being a mother. We will see how this progresses with future treatments. The rest of the treatment was relaxing and comfortable. She will be booking in again next cycle. I found it so interesting to feel and work with a bicornuate uterus. It was definitely noticeable to me (I didn't find out until after the treatment!). We are all so different and interesting.🥰 I look forward to seeing her again.

***I am only currently seeing clients for womb massage (which is really most of the body massage) on Sunday mornings (or at other times when cycle timing requires it, such as before embryo transfer, etc.). This means I book up quickly. Click link in bio to go to my booking page.❤️

I often say that there is nothing more joyous than a pregnancy announcement.🎉🌈

And when I am told by a client who has come to see me for nutrition support and/or womb & fertility massage that they are now pregnant, often after a very long or difficult journey, it brings me so much joy.

To be thanked and to know that maybe I had a part in this amazing outcome always makes my day (or week or month...)!

I definitely believe that my successful pregnancy with my daughter, after 3 losses, was due to all the support I had in place for myself (some of it being nutrition and fertility massage!).

For fertility, pregnancy, or loss support, please see link in bio for options.❤️

Is this you too???🤣🤣🤣

I mean, come on. Part of the yumminess of fresh banana bread is eating a warm piece slathered with butter.😍🤤🍌🍞

We are off eggs at the moment, so flax eggs in baking are my best friends!🤗

I adapted this recipe from 🙌

1. Preheat oven to 180°C/350°F.
2. Mix 2tbsp flax meal with 6tbsp water and set aside for later. It will 'gloop' up (technical term) and become egg-like.
3. If making your own oat flour, mill 240g rolled oats until they become a fine flour and set aside.
4. Melt 60ml/1/4 cup of butter (or coconut oil).
5. Mash 1 1/4c (American cups) or 1c very heaped/rounded (Australian cups) of banana and add to bowl with melted butter. (Side note: did you know US cooking cups/tablespoons are not the same as Aussie? Might explain why some recipes don't work!)
6. Add the flax egg, 1tsp vanilla, 110g coconut or rapadura sugar, and stir.
7. Add the oat flour, 40g rolled oats, 1.5tsp baking powder, 1tsp bicarb/baking soda, 1tsp cinnamon. Mix well.
8. Optional - Stir through a handful chopped walnuts (or other nuts, seeds, choc chips, nibs, dried fruit).
9. Pour batter into lined loaf tin, push in a few frozen berries if you like (I added a few youngberries. And if you have any leftover mashed banana, spread it/brush it over the top (or go add it to a smoothie!).
10. Into the oven for about an hour until skewer comes out mostly clean.
11. Slice off a little bit while still warm and enjoy with a big hunk of butter, or let it cool first to make it easier to cut. Your choice.😉

3-ingredient blueberry cheesecake ice cream 😍

I thought this one was good enough for its own post.😄 This was going to be a smoothie but then we decided to leave out the liquid and have ice cream instead!

🍦Frozen blueberries
🍦Slightly less amount of frozen banana
🍦yogurt/kefir/sour cream - dairy or not
🍦vanilla protein powder or non-alcohol vanilla (optional)
🍦pinch good salt (optional)

Blend until ice-creamy!😍🤤🍦

Beautiful flavour!

Hi everyone. I've added a new branch to my business and I thought I'd mention it here in case it's relevant to any of you.♡

I'm a qualified and experienced teacher as well as nutritionist and I wanted to put this experience and these skills to good use while it is so needed.

𝘌𝘢𝘵 𝘗𝘭𝘢𝘺 𝘓𝘰𝘷𝘦 was born out of the need in my community for an all inclusive space for parents and little ones to connect, play and learn.

Our weekly outdoor gatherings consist of stories, songs, dancing, nature play, healthy snacks, and learning about health/nutrition/child learning for parents.⁣

No discrimination here - all are welcome! All kinds of people, all abilities, all ages 1-5 (baby siblings welcome too!) and mums/dads/carers. This is an opportunity for parents to connect as well as for kids to play and learn.⁣

Current openings for Monday (starting Nov 30 - a few spots left) and Wednesday (starting Dec 1) mornings 10:30-11:30am for December's 4-week program in Frankston.

GHEE 😍

Liquid gold!

I made some ghee today and here it is in its liquid form before it solidifies. I'll keep this ghee in my cupboard and use it for cooking the same way you use any cooking oil. But it's far healthier than any 'vegetable' or seed oils!

Ghee is not only stable, but also considered medicinal in Ayurvedic medicine.

It's easy to make! I used my thermomix today (99 minutes/Varoma temp/speed 2 as per method) but it's also easily made in a pot on the stove on the lowest heat setting.

I use 2 blocks of good grass fed butter chopped up. Melt and then keep cooking until all the milk solids fall to the bottom and the liquid is gold and clear. Careful not to burn. Don't stir. And don't cover. Strain into a jar and discard solids. Lasts for ages.👍

And did I mention that the smell is incredible?! Caramelized butter, anyone?😍

Yesterday (or today, depending on where you are in the world) was International Rainbow Baby Day.❤🌈

If you have ever been pregnant following the loss of a baby, then you are likely familiar with this term, which represents the baby that comes after the "storm" of loss: the rainbow after the storm.

For some, it signifies joy and healing. For others, a painful reminder of missing babies. But for all of us, as joyful as a rainbow baby is, they do not replace, remove or cancel the pain of baby loss.

My little rainbow is now 28 months old.
Our rainbow after the storm of 3 losses / recurrent miscarriage.
Our little miracle.❤🌈
Maya Rose 🌹
