recognises the needs of people caring for someone facing the end of life. For rural and remote carers, they can often face further obstacles in addition to a role that is already challenging. The Caring in the Country Kit by CarerHelp has been specially developed to help make the caring role easier for those living in country regions of Australia.

This kit includes tips for caring for someone at the end of life, finding rural services to support them and how they can use their community network to support them.

A great way to start 2026 โ€” bringing together a wonderful group of participants for our first IPEPA workshop of the year.

It was a valuable opportunity to connect, yarn, and deepen understanding of culturally appropriate palliative care for First Nations peoples.

Feedback from attendees included:
- Engaging videos and a practical workbook that made learning enjoyable
- A presenter who brought warmth, humour, and a relaxed, welcoming style
- A culturally safe approach that kept discussions respectful while remaining approachable
- Informal yarning on formal topics, creating a genuine sense of connection throughout the day
