🌼 Cervical Cancer Awareness Week 🌼

Cervical cancer is among the most preventable forms of cancer, with the HPV vaccine and regular screening playing a key role in reducing the risk. Women and anyone with a cervix should have a cervical screening every five years, beginning at age 25 and continuing through to age 74.

“Prioritising your health includes staying up to date with cervical screening and HPV vaccination. These simple yet powerful measures allow you to take control of your wellbeing and can make a lasting difference to your future health.” - Dr Samina Ahmed, Gynaecologist.

Early detection saves lives.

Cervical cancer is highly preventable especially when screening is done on time.
Because HPV is the main cause, regular Cervical Screening Tests become an essential part of women’s health.

If you’re 25–74 with a cervix, you only need screening once every 5 years, yet it protects you for so much longer.
During Cervical Screening Week, Dr Samina encourages women to stay informed, stay proactive, and prioritise their wellbeing.

If you’re due for your test or have questions about screening, book your consultation with Dr Samina for personalised guidance and supportive care.

𝐅𝐞𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐇𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐓𝐞𝐬𝐭

Your fertility health depends on the balance of key hormones that influence ovulation, egg quality, and menstrual regularity. A hormone test helps identify imbalances and provides valuable insight into reproductive wellness. It includes checking FSH to assess ovarian function, LH to track ovulation, AMH to estimate egg reserve, TSH to evaluate thyroid balance, and Prolactin to detect hormonal causes of irregular cycles. These simple and easily available tests help your gynaecologist understand your fertility status and guide you toward the right treatment plan.

One treatment doesn’t fit every body.
Many people believe that IVF is the only way to conceive when pregnancy doesn’t happen naturally but that’s not always true. Each woman’s body responds differently, and the right treatment depends entirely on the underlying cause.

Sometimes, simpler options such as IUI (Intrauterine Insemination), ovulation induction, or laparoscopic procedures can make a real difference. For others, a combination of treatments or surgeries might be the best path forward.

That’s why an accurate diagnosis and a personalised treatment plan are so important.

Consult Dr Samina Ahmed for a thorough fertility assessment and an individualised plan tailored to your needs.
