We provide a diverse range of services to the community including General Medical and Dental Services, Home-based Aged Care, Family Services case management, Alcohol and Drug counselling, Gambler’s Help counselling, Generalist counselling, Financial Counselling, Acquired Brain Injury case management and community-based recreational programs, Allied health therapy services, and Health Promotion. 🌟 We’re thrilled to be shortlisted as a finalist in the Victorian Premier’s Design Awards 2025!
Our Optimised SMS Reminders service has been recognised in the Service Design category for its impact and innovation. The judging panel noted:

“Design excellence isn’t just about the newest technology—it’s about thoughtful, user-centred design that improves systems people rely on every day. Prioritising this work means better efficiency and experience, ultimately leading to improved care for clients as staff time is freed up through backend optimisation.”

This achievement reflects our Well for Life 2030 strategy in action—helping us care better for the people we serve and supporting our staff through smarter systems.

🎯 Games. Good food. Great conversations.
That’s how our team connected with men in St Albans to share vital health information and promote the National Lung Cancer Screening Program, which IPC Health is funded by Cancer Council Victoria to deliver in its GP clinics and the community.

On Thursday 30 October, around 40 men visited our stand at Westvale Community Centre to learn about lung cancer screening, access referral services, and get tips to stay Well for Life.

Bocce, Blokes and Burgers is more than an event—it’s an example of our commitment to improving community health and raising awareness about cancer prevention and early detection.

At IPC Health, our Well for Life philosophy means supporting the physical, mental, and social health needs of the people and communities we serve.

This year, we brought free screening and health promotion services to our local communities in Point Cook, Manor Lakes, and Penrose—thanks to our partnership with Wyndham City.

💪 More than 175 people, including many from culturally diverse communities, received vital health checks and information to help reduce their risk of stroke.

At IPC Health, we know that language and culture matter. That’s why our team of interpreters and staff with diverse lived experiences ensures everyone can access integrated care—no matter who they are or where they come from. This is our commitment to Melbourne’s west: At every age and at every stage: well at home, well at school, well at work, well at play.

If you or someone you know is affected by gambling harm, help is available. Reach out to IPC Health for free, confidential support — call 1300 472 432 or visit www.ipchealth.com.au

As we recognise Gambling Harm Awareness Week, we share Merapi’s powerful story of recovery - a proud Pacific Islander woman, wife, mum of five, grandmother and community leader from Melbourne’s west.

What started as a small flutter on the pokies at 22 turned into addiction, loss and despair.

“Gambling took over my life. I lost cars, homes and trust. At my lowest, I felt completely trapped.”

With care and support from IPC Health’s Gamblers Help program, Merapi turned her life around, rebuilding her confidence, completing her Diploma in Community Services, and now inspiring others to seek help.

Last year, IPC Health supported over 400 people through gambling harm and therapeutic counselling, helping individuals and families find hope and healing close to home.

“Reaching out changed everything — and it can for you too.”

🎥 Watch Merapi’s story below and help us spread the message that recovery is possible.

This OT Week, we’re celebrating our amazing Occupational Therapists who help our community live Well for Life! 💚

Over the past year, our dedicated OT team has supported 1,338 clients to live more independently, safely and confidently, helping people achieve the everyday goals that matter most.

"What I love about being an OT at IPC Health is helping people achieve the everyday goals that matter most, whether that’s getting back to cooking a family meal, returning to work or simply feeling confident at home again.
The best part is being part of a multidisciplinary team that truly puts clients at the centre. Working alongside physios, nurses and social workers means we can make a bigger difference together. That’s what keeps me motivated every day.”
Nour, Occupational Therapist, IPC Health

To all our OTs — thank you for your passion, creativity and commitment to supporting people to live Well for Life. 💚

Every 19 minutes, a person in Australia has a stroke.

Today is World Stroke Day and this year’s theme is . It reminds us that recognising the signs of stroke and getting help early might be the difference between you or someone else recovering or having a lifelong disability.

As part of our commitment to helping people be Well for Life, IPC Health has partnered with Wyndham City to offer free health checks at local community centres.
Point Cook – 9.00 AM – 10.30 AM
Manor Lakes – 11.00 AM – 12.30 PM
Penrose – 1.30 PM – 3.00 PM

In less than 5 minutes, get to know blood pressure and blood sugar health and get advice from nurses to help you reduce your risk of getting a stroke.

Think FAST,
Face: does one side of your face droop when you smile?
Arms: when you lift both arms, does one arm drift back down?
Speech: is your speech slurred, or does it sound odd?
Time: call an ambulance immediately if you see any of these signs in yourself or someone else.

7 steps to reducing your risk of stroke
▶️Manage your blood pressure
Hypertension, or high blood pressure, is the single biggest risk for a stroke. Getting screened today and managing your blood pressure can halve your risk of getting a stroke.
▶️Stop smoking
▶️Get at least 30 minutes of physical activity each day
▶️Eat a healthy diet without excess sugar
▶️Reduce your alcohol consumption
▶️Lower your levels of stress
▶️Take care of your mental health

Taking these steps to reduce your risk of stroke also helps reduce your risk of diabetes, heart disease and other conditions.

“IPC Health is redefining community health in Melbourne’s west through bold, equity-driven innovation and integrated, person-centred care. In one of the state’s most culturally diverse and socio-economically challenged regions, IPC Health has not only grown its services and workforce but is transforming how care is delivered - embedding consumer voice, cultural safety, and prevention into every level of practice. From redesigning access pathways and digital workflows, to cutting dental waitlists with 3D printing and supporting CALD women with inclusive outreach, IPC Health delivers care with impact where, how and for whom it’s needed most.”
