Eid Mubarak 🌙

As Ramadan comes to an end, we’re thinking of everyone in our community marking Eid today. For some, it’s a time of connection and celebration. For others, it may be quieter, shaped by distance and concern for loved ones overseas.

However this day feels for you, we’re holding space for it. We’re wishing everyone celebrating Eid-al-Fitr, time filled with care, connection and gentleness.

Studying from home? We’ve got you!
Here are 5 tips to help you stay focused, motivated and balanced.

📍 Tip 1: Find a study space that works for you. Try libraries, cafes or parks, use background noise if it helps, and keep your setup comfortable.

📅 Tip 2: Create a simple routine. Plan sessions for when you’re most focused, schedule breaks, and use a planner. Finding your rhythm takes trial and error.

🏃 Tip 3: Stay active and refresh your mind. Stretch, walk, try yoga, or do something creative. Even small breaks boost energy and focus.

💬 Tip 4: Stay connected. Join online study groups, ask questions, and share ideas. Connecting with others keeps you supported and motivated.

🧠 Tip 5: Explore your learning style. Try different methods and adapt your approach. What works for others might not work for you, and that’s okay.

🎓 5 things I wish I knew before starting uni

1. It’s normal to feel nervous or unsure. Lots of people are in the same boat.
2. Use the support that’s there: student services, study workshops, counselling and peer groups. Family members and trusted adults can also support in practical and emotional ways. You don’t have to go it alone.
3. Making friends might take time. Join clubs, study groups or social events to meet people with similar interests.
4. Uni demands self‑management: plan your time, set goals, balance work/study and build a routine that includes self‑care.
5. Stress, overwhelm or doubt are normal. It’s OK to ask for help, re-adjust plans, or take things at your own pace.

No one expects you to have it all figured out, but a little support, flexibility and self‑kindness can go a long way. 💚
