We place our elderly into residential care facilities to be cared for by qualified carers, unfortunately, some facilities seem to focus on their bottom line first and our elderly a distant second at best. Our elderly's concerns when voiced are often ignored, worst still they are victimised for speaking out and it is up to us to give them back their voice!
We are launching Voice 4 Elderly in memory of Felicity Jackson whose birthday is the 2 August, Felicity suffered server injuries in a fall in a nursing home and was denied treatment for over a week. Unfortunately, Felicity passed away, if only she received medical attention sooner we would be celebrating her birthday with her.
