Many of us retreat when life gets overwhelming, chaotic, stressful or sometimes “destroying” 🌿
When we retreat and isolate at home, we feel safer - home should be a safe space for us to let down our shields and give our nervous system a rest, some time to heal some time to reset.
Isolation can become addictive, we avoid contact with people to protect ourselves and our personal energies to avoid getting hurt again. Even though our mind thinks it’s okay and it should be safe to get on with life again, if we haven’t fully processed those past experiences and emotions our nervous system will send some reminders - triggers of anger, anxiety, panic attacks, fear.
While our mind and brain can bury experiences our NERVOUS SYSTEM never forgets 🌿
