Feeling incredibly excited (and a little nervous!) to share that Iโll be presenting at the Centre for Disability Employment Research and Practice (CDERP) Conference this year in Melbourne!
Iโm very grateful for the opportunity to showcase the amazing work our team at EAT has been doing through our Customised Employment program.
Weโll be sharing how we apply the Customised Employment model through our community-based social enterprises, including our work within the Perth sporting community - Kalamunda Districts Rugby Union Club and Ellenbrook Rabbitohs Rugby League Club, to create real-world Discovery environments and pathways to meaningful employment.
Iโm proud of the impact our team is making and looking forward to learning from others who are passionate about creating inclusive employment opportunities.
I had the pleasure of spending the afternoon with the wonderful members of the Perth Chapter No. 46 from Order of the Eastern Star Australia. It was a lovely opportunity to share the work we are doing at Empowering Abilities Together and how our programs are helping individuals with a disability to learn work skills and find their dream job.
One of the most touching moments of the afternoon was when the Chapter presented a generous donation as part of the Worthy Matronโs Charity. Support like this allows us to continue building programs that empower people and create inclusive opportunities for those who need it most.
Moments like these remind us that when communities come together, we can make a real difference.
Thank you Perth Chapter No. 46 for your generosity and support.
