My heart is singing after a weekend of authentic heart centred re-connecting, shakti shaking co-creating, dreaming and weaving a radiant cosmic web of bliss love, self expression and freedom. A glimpse into a community of how it could be, always. Such an honour to massage at this gathering that was co-created with such beautiful intention💗 I felt energised and magnified, seeing and being seen, feeling and being felt. Weaving my magic in my red and gold laced massage temple for all who were open to receive. The connection I felt soooo strong, with my feet in the earth feeling her hold me with her loving energy flow through me as I massaged each beautiful human with this amplified loving energy to the rhythm of all the creative humans performing on stage. The connection I felt with the sacred medicines of the earth, the purifying waters of the flowing river, the warmth of the sun and the gusts of wind bringing fresh air into my tent. Such deep deep gratitude for this gathering and the humans that created it. So much love respect and gratitude to .full.of.sunshine & ❤️❤️❤️ can’t wait to do it all again soon🌺🌸🌻🌿🍄🌼🌞🌈

THE HUICHOL TRIBE OF MEXICO: DURING BIRTH THE TESTICLES WERE TIED TO A ROPE .... Members of the Huichol tribe in Mexico view childbirth as a time of great pain and pleasure that must be shared by both men and women. At the time of childbirth, the father is placed on top of the wife. His testicles are tied to a rope, the two ends of which remain in the mother's hands. The latter can pull the rope during her contractions to share her pain with the father. When the baby is born, the father and mother, having shared a tremendous pain, now feel the joy of welcoming their baby.

It really is impossible to hold tension in your body when your hands are soft and open

This photo says it all.
Surrender!

And look at the hands...during labour you want to keep your hands soft and open.

Here is a little experiment for you.
Tense your body. When you do this, you will likely clench your fists.
Now open your hands, let them relax and soften, but try to maintain the tension in the rest of your body.
It is HARD to tense your body when your hands are relaxed.
So in labour, relax your hands, keep them soft and open...and your body will follow.

The mindful midwife

I believe Hypnobirthing Australia is the revolution of childbirth education, and all mothers should partake in this inspiring, fear releasing, endorphin enriching childbirth wisdom.

I am a practicing Midwife and Hypnobirthing Australia certified practitioner.

Firstly, I began my journey as a midwife to be with woman and support her, ground her, guide her to believe in her amazing body. To keep her and her baby safe by observing and monitoring her and her baby, and simultaneously guiding her to a peaceful and trusting place where she can birth her baby in a positive way, regardless of the circumstances of her labour and birth.

Although a large population of women were approaching labour in fear and unprepared for the challenges of childbirth.
