📣 Measles Update – Important Information for Our Community

Queensland Health has issued updated measles immunisation guidance following an increase in measles cases across Australia, including here in Queensland.

🟠 What You Need to Know
Measles is highly contagious, and vaccination remains the best protection. With current outbreaks, it’s important to check that you and your family are up to date.

🟢 Who Is Eligible for a Free MMR Vaccine?
All people born in 1966 or later are eligible for two funded doses of the measles-mumps-rubella (MMR) vaccine.
If you’re unsure whether you’ve had both doses, a catch-up vaccination is available.

Our pharmacists can help you check your vaccination status and advise whether any family members may be eligible for an early or catch-up dose.
