What a night! 💜🙏
I am so deeply proud to be a part of something truly authentic!
Stacey you are a true gem for starting this amazing initiative 🙏
I was so proud to use my voice for the greater good!
At Women of the Murray we talk about our stories with grace and compassion, we connect with beautiful souls we wouldn’t otherwise cross paths with.
So many things blew me away last night;
Obviously Stacey Dick for starting WOTM, the food was amazing so please visit O’Reillys in Cobram, the owner makes the best profiteroles ever (I told her it was nostalgic for me because I used to eat them with my grandma, so she made sure I had the last one 🥹), Liv my fellow speaker was one of the most wise and self aware 22 year olds ever, the women who came for mingling and some coming alone hoping to connect with likeminded women, Cass for organising a hamper for someone to win, she will be running the London Marathon in April and is raising funds for domestic violence in Australia 🙌 I will share how you can donate or support her soon, she is remarkable and finally… when I spoke I told my story and made reference to my gyno specialist Dr Scott Giltrap in Albury who I believe is second to none and after my talk many different women came up to me and said they went to Scott and he got them their miracles babies 🥹. My heart cracked open!
Anyone struggling with Endometriosis and wants a recommendation for a specialist please get a referral for Albury IVF Scott Giltrap 🙏 he is a wagyu beef farmer and started Gynaecology on the side.
Sounds wild right? But he now has an Order of Australia for the work he does and he deserves every recognition going.
He’s over six foot, wears a flannel shirt and has massive hands. But when he first spoke I knew I was in the right place.
I mentioned last night that when I awake from a general anaesthetic he came to my bedside and stroked my head, told me how brave I was to function every day with that much pain. To be validated in a medical area that largely gets brushed aside, and by a man too, was the biggest relief of my life.
When I did egg freezing last year, he and his team were amazed at my result of 24 freezable eggs, but truly I couldn’t have done it without them.
And to hear from women last night, after previously being told by other specialists they could never have a baby, to then go to him and them now having their family, was just the icing on the cake.
It was such an incredible night and I cannot wait to be a part of more!
If you would like to get involved, by simply joining the next Shepparton region catch up, it will be at my place on Saturday 11th April from 10-12pm. A very casual chance to meet fellow women who sincerely believe in raising other beautiful women up. Message me if you would like to come!
Thank you to everyone who came last night, I know it would make Stacey feel very proud, and so she should 🙏
