Last night we gathered as a team to farewell our intern Anna, who has finished her rotation and is moving on to complete her internship. We also said farewell to our practice nurse Lynette. Lynette has worked with MBMC for 5 years, she is starting a new job working in case management. Both of these incredible women will be missed. Good luck to you both.

A note from Dr Jacinta:

Back from two weeks in Indonesia, where I was the team doctor for the junior Matilda’s who went on to beat Thailand in the Grand final to become the 2025 ASEAN U16 girls champions.
Amazing experience working with the whole support team and the athletes. Next trip is in October to compete for a place in the 2026 Asian cup.
Thanks for all the support in letting me get over there!

With an increase in coughs and colds we would ask patients with ANY respiratory symptoms to inform our receptionists as soon as possible.

We want to keep our waiting area virus free so remember that “just a cold” for you could have dire consequences for someone else.

If you are asked to wear a mask, wait in your car or outside the building, it is because we are trying to keep our most vulnerable members of our community and our staff as safe as possible.

If you are asked to do a triple antigen RAT, we are just asking for confirmation on what virus you might have, it will help the doctors treat you appropriately.

If you are asked to head straight out after your appointment, it is to reduce your time spent in our waiting room.

You can book a follow up appointment over the phone or online and you can pay your account either over the phone, via bank transfer or over the counter when you are well again.

We are trying to protect ourselves, our families, and the broader communities so please try to help us keep our practice safe for everyone.
