🐔🥚 SHARING THE LOVE (AND THE EGGS!) 🥚🐔

📍 Monday – Thursday

🐔🥚 EGG-CITING NEWS FROM CCC! 🥚🐔

Megan has officially done it… she may have convinced her husband that “just a few more chickens” was a brilliant idea (and of course, we can’t forget the ducks! 🦆). Fast forward to now and we are absolutely overrun with eggs!

So, if you’d love some delicious, unwashed, farm-fresh eggs, pop into the Virtually Accountable office in the Coles Complex and grab yourself a dozen - or two!

Over the weekend, something incredibly disappointing happened, and we feel it needs to be spoken about.

One of our clients attended the Lee Kernaghan concert and, due to her wheelchair and the assistive technology mounted to her vehicle, she requires extra space to safely get in and out of her car (this also ensures she does not damage any neighbouring cars too). With no disability parks available, she used two standard parks in our office carpark to ensure she could independently access her vehicle - something many of us take for granted.

After what was a rare and joyful night out, she returned to her car to find a “Learn to Park” card telling her she “parked like an arsehole” and warning her to fix it before she becomes the ‘sh*t head everyone hates.’

This is beyond unacceptable.

Her parking was not an inconvenience, it was a necessity, directly related to her disability. Comments like this are cruel, degrading, and show a complete lack of compassion or understanding for people living with disabilities.

What may have felt like a joke to the person who left it caused real hurt. It overshadowed an otherwise wonderful night for a woman who is an active community member, a volunteer, and an all-round incredible human being. She goes out of her way to make others feel included - never would she make someone feel hated or judged.

We share this not to shame, but to educate.

Please think before you act. Not everyone has the privilege of parking within the lines. And kindness costs nothing - but moments like this can cost someone their dignity.

Let’s do better.

🌺 Lest We Forget 🌺

Today we honour the bravery, sacrifice and service of all who have served our country, past and present.

Their legacy reminds us of the strength found in unity, compassion and resilience.

At VA, we take this moment to reflect with gratitude and respect for those who gave so much so that we may live in peace.

We will remember them. ❤️

💙 Invisible Disabilities Week 💙

This week, we’re recognising those living with invisible disabilities — conditions that may not be seen, but are very real. 💛

At Virtually Accountable, we know that disabilities like ADHD, autism, chronic pain, mental health conditions, and fatigue don’t always show on the outside. But they can impact daily life in big ways — especially when it comes to staying organised, managing routines, and keeping on top of tasks.

That’s why we’re passionate about providing non-judgmental, flexible support that meets people where they’re at. Everyone deserves understanding and the right tools to succeed — no matter what challenges they face. 🌿

Let’s use this week to show compassion, listen with empathy, and remind others that you don’t have to see a disability to know it exists. 💙

🧠 October is ADHD Awareness Month! 💛

At Virtually Accountable, we proudly support individuals living with ADHD — because we know that neurodiversity brings incredible creativity, energy, and perspective to the world.

ADHD can look different for everyone — it’s not just about being “distracted” or “hyper.” It’s about navigating life in a way that sometimes needs a little extra structure, flexibility, and understanding.

This month, we’re encouraging open conversations, breaking down stigma, and celebrating the strengths that come with thinking differently. 🌟

If you or someone you love has ADHD, remember: you’re not alone. There are supports and strategies that can make day-to-day life easier — and we’re here to help you stay organised, on track, and confident in your goals. 💼✨

💙 NDIS Price Guide Update – starting 24 November 2025 💙

The NDIS has made some changes to the Pricing Arrangements and Price Limits for the 2025–26 year.

These updates explain how prices work for supports and services in the NDIS. They help make sure everything stays fair and up to date with current rules and policies.

🗓️ The new changes start on 24 November 2025.

The NDIS has shared this early so participants, families, and providers have plenty of time to get ready.

Here are some of the main updates:
✨ New price limits for Art and Music Therapy - to be reduced to $156.16 per hour
✨ Updated guidance for "Other Professional" Supports being billed from therapies
✨ Removal of the COVID Addendum (as these items are no longer needed)
✨ Updates to regional area classifications (Modified Monash Model)
✨ Changes to SDA (Specialist Disability Accommodation) pricing
✨ Updates to Assistive Technology, Home Modifications, and Consumables codes and descriptions

You don’t need to do anything different when you make claims — these are just updates to make things clearer and fairer.

You can read more and download the updated information on the NDIS website

At Virtually Accountable, we keep track of all NDIS updates so our clients can feel confident and supported every step of the way. 💙
