Luxx Equestrian is a passion project of mine, my love of horses, and my devotion to wellness. These products were developed so that I could spend therapeutic time with horses whilst grooming and connecting to them. I noticed the horses at the school had very dry tails from the dust at the time and as I made botanical skincare I thought to trial some oil blends. It grew to be a school-wide experiment with feedback from instructors and students as they used my oils on their horses. The result is the most adaptogenic (stress-relieving blend of botanicals. As you apply them you and your horse are calmed. It's great before a ride as it helps to connect you both. All good riding and good relationships for me are based on trust, mutual understanding, and respect. By spending time with the horses and nurturing them and myself I found my riding improved as my connection became lighter and more intuitive. We were speaking the same language. My stress levels went down and my healing was amplified. Plus the scent of your horse's main is released as you ride reinforcing your calm connection. My time with horses is important and extremely special to me as it was one of the things I built into my healing 8 years ago. I started riding again when I decided to heal myself. I wanted to do something that I really loved.
I had lessons as a kid and various horses over the years, but never a full riding education.
I told that I need to start from scratch.
When I started 7 years ago I could not last the 5 circle warm up, my energy was so low.
With the instructions and empathy from Sarita & Barrie I few into a better rider and I got better.
It's the connection, the bio mechanics and the learning that have improved my health and wellness.
I make my Mane & Tail oil to build on this very solid foundation.
