Caring for someone living with dementia can be isolating, exhausting and heartbreaking. And too often, it feels like no one is really listening.
That’s why we’re inviting dementia carers and people living with dementia to connect, speak up and be seen.
🕰 WHEN: Every Wednesday
📍 WHERE: Mulgowie Hall
On Wednesday 6th May, Jim McDonald MP will be joining us to hear, first-hand, the real lived experiences of those in our community who are affected by dementia.
Your story matters.
Your presence matters.
Each person who shows up is another voice for a more dementia friendly community.
This is how change happens:
• When we speak up and show up
• When we make the struggles visible – especially the fight to access in‑home respite care
• When we refuse to quietly accept “there just aren’t enough resources”
The squeaky hinge gets the oil. If we don’t share what’s really happening for dementia carers and those living with dementia, we don’t get heard , and nothing changes.
If you are:
• Caring for a loved one with dementia
• Living with dementia yourself
• A family member, neighbour or friend who wants to stand alongside carers
….please join us. Come along on Wednesdays at Mulgowie Hall, and especially on 6th May to be part of this important conversation.
If you can’t attend, you can still be part of it:
👉 Comment below with your experience
👉 Share what support you need
👉 Tell us what would make our community more dementia‑friendly
Carers cannot do this alone. As a community, we MUST NOT accept hat respite care and support are simply “unavailable”.
Let’s stand together, support each other, and make it impossible for decision makers to ignore what dementia carers and their loved ones are going through.
Please comment, share, or come along and help us shout out that our community is ready to do better
