Started turning my phone off overnight, leaving it downstairs and NOT turning it on until after breakfast. I’ve been doing it for a few months now and its astounding how much of a difference it makes to my happiness and productivity 💪💪💪
How did your day start?
I’m asking because most of us are starting our days the same way - and it’s not helping.
You wake up. You’re still in bed. You do that little stretch. Maybe you’re thinking about how you’re going to move your body that morning.
And then your brain reminds you of that email you forgot to send. So you grab your phone, knock it out, boom- done.
And that would’ve been fine… if you had put your phone down.
But you didn’t. Without even realizing it, you tapped your social media app, and suddenly you're scrolling through headline after headline that feels like a gut punch.
And before you know it, an hour’s gone, and now you’ve missed your workout, you’re rushing to make it to work on time, and you’re flipping off that driver who cut you off.
That one little decision - a small micro choice - to stay on your phone instead of sticking with your plans - didn’t just blow up your morning, it messed with your entire day.
