PBE Rutherford recently completed electrification of the 1st of 2 cranes at the Port of Newcastle in New South Wales, Australia.

The crane was fitted out with a CouplerCo coupler to the trailing cable as well as the adaptor box with tails and a CouplerCo adaptor, allowing the crane to be operated using electric or diesel.

Testing has shown all systems are working as expected, and our client has expressed their thanks to our site engineers for their professionalism, cleanliness, and overall quality throughout the whole process.

PBE Rutherford recently completed a complete overhaul of this 10SC32 Shuttle Car, the 1st of 4 set to receive full overhauls for our customer.

The overhaul included some modifications & upgrades, including:
✅ I.S Lighting
✅ Cable Reel Monitoring
✅ Proximity Detection
✅ Change of Operator Compartment Layout

Work has already begun on complete overhauls of the other 3 Shuttle Cars to the same specification.

2 x 3615C 2.5MVA 11kV for one of our customers in Central have been successfully put through the start-up commissioning process this week at our ADE facility in Hexham. ADE Power designed and manufactured the acoustic enclosures including the exhaust systems, fuel systems and generator controls complete with auto changeover and synchronisation

PBE Rutherford were engaged to design and manufacture 2 transportable 66/11kV 16/23MVA for a customer. The substations include the latest control, monitoring and safety systems and will be important for the longwall operations as part of the expansion.
