Today residents enjoyed a scenic bus trip to Swordfish Co Warners Bay where they ate fish and chips for lunch and relaxed by the water.
The residents absolutely loved it with some saying it was the best fish they've ever tasted!
After lunch, the residents saw sights and sailing boats at Marmong Point. What a great trip!

Today some of our staff participated in the “Dine with Ted” virtual reality dementia education session. Through this powerful experience, staff viewed a mealtime in two ways — first as a care worker, and then through the eyes of Ted, a person living with dementia.

Seeing the dining environment from Ted’s perspective highlighted how much food presentation, surroundings, noise, and the way support is provided can influence a person’s mealtime experience.

This immersive training helps our team better understand the challenges people living with dementia may face and reinforces the importance of patience, thoughtful environments, and compassionate support at every meal.

We’re proud of our staff for continuing to learn and grow so we can provide the best possible care and dignity for those we support. 💙

☘️ What a shamrockin’ good time we had at our St Patrick’s Day celebration today! ☘️

The room was filled with laughter, music, and plenty of Irish cheer as residents joined in a range of fun activities. From our lively potato rolling race to a spirited Irish jig competition (with some very impressive moves on display!), there was no shortage of smiles. Our ball toss game kept everyone engaged, with lots of friendly competition and encouragement all around.

It was a wonderful day of connection, joy, and shared moments—proving once again that a little bit of fun and laughter goes a long way 💚

Music has a special way of reaching the heart, especially for people living with dementia. Today our residents enjoyed a lively music session where we sang familiar songs & explored rhythm using simple instruments. Tapping along, keeping time and experimenting with rhythm helps stimulate different parts of the brain, supporting memory, coordination & connection. Most importantly, it bringS smiles, laughter & a wonderful sense of togetherness - proving that music truly us a powerful & joyful form of therapy. 🎵

Last week we brought the jungle to life with a fun-filled Jungle Party! 🌿🐒

Residents enjoyed wonderful live entertainment from Wayne Parkinson, while our amazing Maroba Kitchen team prepared a delicious spread for everyone to enjoy.

It was a lovely afternoon of music, laughter, great food and special moments shared together. Safe to say we all had a roaring good time! 🐯🌴
