One year of stepping out on my own, and I’m still pinching myself and deeply moved by it all.

Thank you to every single person who has supported me along the way! Whether you’ve booked a session, referred a friend, sent an encouraging message, or simply trusted me with your care over and over again - you are the reason I do what I do! This business has grown more than I ever could have imagined in a short time, and I don’t take a single part of that for granted.

I am endlessly grateful for my clients. You are thoughtful, respectful, kind, and genuinely appreciative humans, and that alone fuels me more than you know. Your trust in me gives meaning to the work I do and reminds me why I chose this path in the first place. Being trusted with your bodies and your health, in such a vulnerable, personal setting, is an honour and a privilege I hold with so much care and respect.

On top of all that, watching the office slowly turn into a calm, beautiful sanctuary has been incredibly special. It’s a space that feels safe, grounding, and nourishing. Not just for the people who come through the door, but for me too. I find myself enjoying time here even when I don’t have clients, which feels like a quiet reminder that I’ve built something aligned and true.

Thank you for making this first year for Restorative Rituals Massage so much more meaningful than I ever expected. I’m deeply grateful for every part of it and am so happy I took the leap of faith in a completely new country. It was SO worth it. 🤍

Let’s talk about the belly, one of the most overlooked areas in massage therapy… and one of the most important.
Most therapists avoid offering it and some clients are uncomfortable with receiving it. And I can understand why - it’s a very vulnerable place for most people of us. It protects our vital organs and can be the source of aesthetic insecurity… but truth is, your abdomen is both the command center for your digestion, nervous system, and emotional tension while also housing powerful muscles groups that can be the main source of your chronic physical pain.

Here’s why you might want to show your belly some love:
✨ Can help reduce pain and tension in the low back and hips
✨ Supports healthy digestion + reduces bloating
✨ Eases constipation and sluggishness
✨ Helps release stored emotional tension (yes, gut feelings are real!)
✨ Encourages lymphatic flow + detox (most lymph nodes in this area)

Massage isn’t just for when things hurt.
Regular sessions help regulate your nervous system, support lymphatic circulation, reduce chronic tension, and improve sleep (and even our relationship with ourselves over time).

It’s preventative care, not just a treat.

What you see here might look unusual but those little round cups hold big healing potential.

Cupping therapy has been used for thousands of years to draw stagnant blood, reduce inflammation, and release deep muscular tension. By creating a gentle vacuum, we encourage fresh localized circulation, helping your tissues hydrate and ease pain. “Are you Canadian… ?”
It’s probably the question I get asked the most (must be the neutral accent and all the politeness). But nope. Born and raised in Lafayette, and later New Orleans, Louisiana. 🐊🇺🇸

I grew up with accordion music in my ears, humidity in my hair, and a deep respect for soulful connection. It was my mother who first inspired me to become a massage therapist. She used it as a remedy for everything - headaches, stress, growing pains, even bad moods.

Eventually, I moved to the Rocky Mountains of Colorado, where I studied massage therapy and fell in love with the healing power of therapeutic touch. It felt both ancestral and completely natural to me.

Fast forward, and I’ve been living in Newcastle for over two years now. It’s become a place I’m proud and grateful to call home.

Massage has been my calling for the last seven years. It’s not just how I make a living, it has shaped who I am. I believe healing begins with being seen, heard, and yes, even held. We hear so much about the first two, but the latter is often left out of the conversation. Human touch isn’t a luxury. It’s a psychological need. Babies can’t emotionally develop without it, and that need doesn’t go away as we grow older.

My work is rooted in deep presence, safe and non-judgmental space, evidence-based research and the kind of nurturing touch that lingers long after the session ends.

Whether you’re in physical pain, burned out from both ends, or just simply craving stillness, the space I’ve created in my Mayfield studio is here to hold you.
