I’ve had a lot of people send me this video of LeAnn Rimes…

This is a pterygoid release
A muscle on the inside of your jaw that plays a big role in clenching, grinding and chewing.

It can definitely be a sensitive area especially if you’re holding a lot of tension there.

But this is a little more intensity than I’d usually go with.

In clinic, I like to release through the neck and the outside of the jaw first. So by the time I get to the inside, it feels a lot more manageable.

If you’re waking up with jaw pain, try this in the shower

Pop your fingers inside your jaw
Gently pull and stretch through the cheeks
Create a bit of space and movement through the area

It can help reduce puffiness and ease some of that built-up tension

Every musician needs this before a big show.
Even Casey Barnes.

Ahead of his CMC headline set, we treated tension through the anterior neck, jaw and base of the skull.

Releasing the sternocleidomastoid (SCM) helps reduce pressure through the thyroid cartilage and hyoid, improving vocal range and control.

We also worked intraorally to release the masseter and address jaw tension pulling things forward.

Less restriction

Getting Eurovision-ready 🇦🇺

With a huge press schedule, travel and rehearsals ahead, we worked through tension in Delta’s neck, jaw and chest.

These areas play a big role in vocal control, range and reducing strain during performance.

By improving mobility through the front and back of the neck, jaw and upper chest, we help the body move well so the voice can do what it does best.

Safe to say there were a few quiet fangirl moments in the room while we did it.

Eurovision prep is well underway and we cannot wait to watch her absolutely nail it.
