We are so proud to have raised over $120,000 for research over 2 events in 1 year apart. Something that is desperately needed with Dementia now the leading cause of death in Australia.

As dementia touches more than 433,000 Australians today, and is set to nearly double within 25 years, the Forget Me Not - Geelong Committee is taking action. Born from friendship and sorrow, this group has already raised over $120,000 for dementia research. This Dementia Action Week, we share their story and their dream: to one day find a cure ❤

AIHW also states "The exact number of people with dementia in Australia (the ‘prevalence’) is currently not known. Estimates vary because there is no single authoritative data source for deriving dementia prevalence in Australia and different approaches are used to generate estimates"
