Last Thursday night, I facilitated a special evening workshop with Project Respect. We listened to jazz, ate pizza, and created this beautiful piece of art inspired by nature and kitchen materials such as tea and tumeric!
To get the flow going, we each chose a stone or crystal, and then followed it around with a pen to make curious and playful lines across a big sheet of paper. This was inspired by a practice I came across recently and it felt like such a simple yet playful exercise which really helped open up our creativity. I’m thinking "playful pebble pathways" could be a such a great term for this process! 🪨✨
We then created our nature and kitchen-inspired inks and let our conversations and experiences deepen in the curious, emergent way that they often do.
This was such a beautiful and deeply immersive process. Sensorially, it was also pretty amazing- with multiple rich aromas, textures and colours to explore.
Deliciously delightful. Fun and sensory, and I truly hope enriching for everyone involved.
I also really love thank ink making, mark making and community seem to have been the themes of the week!
