Soap Sculpture

Soap Sculpture Custom made, made to order soaps, bath and body products using high quality, luxurious ingredients that are great for your skin. Welcome to "Soap Sculpture".

My name is Lisa and I am so excited to have started this little venture of mine. It comes from months and months and months of watching tutorials and reading and studying about soap making and the advantages to making your own soap products. I had no idea it would lead to this! but I can tell you how excited I am to be crafting something so beautiful as soap! and also knowing that it is made from high quality ingredients that are nourishing and good for your skin. It all started out because my daughter and I both have skin conditions that make it difficult for us to use shop bought products because of the chemicals and dyes often used in them. Like everything else out there its very confusing knowing what to buy and what will be best for my skin without costing a fortune! So I gave up and decided to do my own research and have a go at making my own soap, and I am glad I did! I use a number of different processes to bring you quality in soap making from cold process soap to melt and pour. I use additives such as almond, avocado, macadamia, olive, coconut, jojoba and neem oils as well as shea and cocoa butter. These all bring a different quality to the soap as well as having different healing properties for your skin depending on what your skin needs. Different oils will also bring different luxurious lathers and feel to your skin depending on which oil and additive is used. It really depends on what you are wanting your soap bar to do for you. Where I can I use natural pigments and dyes sourced from minerals from the earth, ALL the products I use meet the approved for cosmetic use as required by Australian Regulations. All the colours and glitters used are skin safe! I was pleased to note as I made the soap that very little colour is needed to achieve beautiful colours in the products. Good to know because they are expensive to buy! So what does all that mean? It means you are getting quality products at an affordable price. It also means that you don't have to wait for me to post a photo of something that you like before you buy, you can talk to me about what YOU want, and I will be able to make it according to the oils you choose, the colours and scents you like and design/pattern. Hence soap sculpture is all about custom making you a bar of soap personalized to your wants and needs that will achieve its outcome and make you feel beautiful all at the same time. Along with soap I am currently working on a bath range of bath bombs (they are amazing!) and so good you could eat them!! well, almost haha, as well as bath salts, fizzies, hand cream (with additives for sensitive and itchy skin!) along with shampoo and conditioner in the future. I have been asked if I am going to do candles and I had decided no, but, its a woman's prerogative to change her mind. so, I have ordered my first lot of ingredients to make soy candles which should arrive next week, and I have some absolutely stunning fragrances and crystal glass ware for them to go into. I must give a HUGE shout out to Brambleberry from America, Aussie Soap Supplies and heirloom soaps in Penrith who have all helped me on my journey to discovering ideas, what and what not to do, and how to get started. Some of those ideas are shown in the designs that I have used on this page as I have learned techniques and colouring and then crafted my own designs. Each one of these suppliers are reputable and a wealth of information to draw from. I thoroughly recommend them as a resource and supplier for anyone interested in soap making. So there you have it in a nutshell. If you have any questions please don't hesitate to inbox me or post on this FB page and I will do my best to get back to you ASAP. If you are wanting prices on anything I am happy to quote you. Most products as I move forward will have prices on the FB page and my endeavour is to always make it affordable for you to purchase. As yet I have not set up a postage system as soap is delicate to transport, but, it is something I will look at in the future. I will also run from time to time competitions where you will have the opportunity to win soap or bath bombs right here on my page! yay...so keep a watch out for that and also specials will appear from time to time. Who doesn't love a special! So that's it for now. Hope to meet you somewhere on this soaping page and please let me know what you think of my ideas, I would love to hear from you! Happy new year! xx Lisa

Hello everyone. Hope you are all well inspite of these challenging and changing times. Just to let you know I have decided due to covid and a few other things I am closing my little adventurous bussiness down for the time being. I still have stock including some lovely candles and melts and depending on lockdowns etc will have a small market day closer to Christmas. You will be able to purchase all soaps at a marked down price and I may even sell them in bundles. Have not thought that far ahead yet, and will have to wait and see how it can be done due to covid. I will let you know come november the date. I am happy to still do special orders but will not be making in bulk any more due to costs and getting supplies. I am however continuing (oddly enough) to make Christmas puddings and decorated iced Christmas cakes as I have done over the past 2 years. If this is something you are wanting I am starting to take pre orders for those now and already have some on order. I’ll be making them next month. You can also lookout for these on my FB page come Nov. End of dec I am looking at shutting my FB profile down and just having a private chat page for anyone wanting to catch up with me there. For now though you can still see anything that I may show re soap sculpture, cakes puddings etc. PM me for any queries etc happy to chat. Thankyou so much for those who believed in my little dream and always encouraging me in my pursuit of creating something beautiful into soap/products. Encouragement is such a beautiful thing. It’s been such a journey and one I have loved so much! It was so good for my mental health. Who knows what the future will bring. Stay well. Lots of love to you all ❤️😘 Lisa

When something smells as beautifully natural as these do with EO fragrances and Shea butter, they deserve their own special label. They are in a league all of their own! ⭐️⭐️⭐️

So excited to post photos of my 4 new soaps coloured with Brazilian clays and scented in 100 percent essential oils. These 4 are as close to nature as you will ever get! And they smell AMAZING!!! The base is luxurious...using coconut, olive, walnut, castoil oils. Shea butter and avocado oil. They are soft on your skin and lather to a creamy consistency giving me the most perfect soap base recipe formula I have been trying to achieve for 3 years now! This has become my holy grail in soap recipes and to say I am happy is an understatement! Not easy formulating a great recipe. These need a few more weeks to cure but will be available end of nov in time for Christmas. They weigh a whopping 162grams and will last a very long time! Botanical flowers on top add to the visuals and beautiful scent. $8ea.

Heh everyone 🖐🏻... thought I should drop in and just say hi. What a crazy unpredictable year this has been for so many! I in particularly feel for those in bussiness trying to stay afloat. For me this is something I do on the side so while it has affected me in some ways, I also have other work. I have been asked if I am still selling and the answer is yes! I am! I just havnt posted much this year due to covid restrictions etc. I have orders to do for Christmas coming up and I started a new line of dessert candles (photos attached)depending on how they go, they will be made to order at $25ea. I have 6 on hand ready to purchase if you would like them as Chrissy gifts but you will need to get in quick as there is already some interest for these. (First in first served). They smell amazing!!!. The only other new line I will have this year is soap made with essential oil blends and made with Brazilian clays and botanicals. While the same cold process recipe will be used to make these, they will have natural additives/colours and not such vibrancy or pop colours as my other soaps have. I get asked a lot about my ingredients so I thought I would share with you my base ingredients for making soap. I buy my base supplies from soap wholesalers including colours/fragrances/EOs. I do NOT purchase anything that is believed to be harmful for your skin. I try to buy organic where I can. It is costly for me this way but the product you purchase from me meets all the guidelines/standards set out for me in order to sell soap etc, and I believe you are purchasing quality products. I use sustainable palm oil, YES I do! So much debate around this product but it makes beautiful soap! I use organic coconut oil, olive oil, sweet almond, Avo, castor oils and shea butter. This is my go to base recipe most times because it makes a beautiful creamy moisturising lather with bubbles! Sometimes I might swap out Avo or sweet A for walnut oil, sunflower or rice bran oils as each oil brings something different to the soap. To make soap you need sodium hydroxide or for better words (lye) mixed with filtered water and poured into the oils. This causes a chemical reaction to take place that cooks the soap at a high temp causing it to coagulate and make soap. But Isn’t lye what you put down drain pipes??? Yes it is, although I use a particular brand, and people are often horrified at this because lye is a chemical right? But in soap making what happens is that when the soap is heated to a certain temp the lye cooks out of the soap till there is no trace of it left! The soap is cured, ie left on the shelf for 4-6weeks before using and then tested with a ph strip to check for any residue, usually the soap requires a longer waiting period before use if this is the case until no trace of it is left. The truth is all the soaps you are using right now, if you look at the listed ingredients they will all have this ingredient (plus other chemicals) listed in them. It isn’t the lye that turns me away from buying soap its all the other ingredients added! So I much prefer to make my own because I know what goes in them. Next week I will talk about the colours and fragrances I use to give you a better understanding of what is in my products. Until then, stay SAFE! Christmas is around the corner... time to start thinking about it guys yay. I love Christmas soooo much! And yes I will have an open house again early dec but I will have to look at how to make that covid safe for everyone to shop maybe by doing it outside. Will have more photos soon..For now enjoy these ones of my dessert candles “sunshine punch” and “strawberry sundae” ❤️🌈
