One of my favourite days of the year (except ceremonies of course!). A trip to the blood donor centre in Shepparton, where the team are just amazing!

I am O negative, so known as a “universal donor” as in an emergency, my blood can be given to anyone.

I can’t wait to hear from , as they send a SMS after a few days to let donors know what town/city their donation has been sent to. How cool is that!

Before and after pics including my special gift for reaching a milestone donation 🩸 with winter coming I thought the socks might come in handy! I promise not to wear them to your ceremony, unless you request them!

You just can't beat a coffee catch up with a fellow celebrant and lots to chat about: marketing plans, how we can support our couples, upcoming ceremonies, script writing, how some dates/weekends are already booked out, 2027 plans and so much more ... with ample helpings of support, laughs and caffine!

Happy Valentine's Day to you all. Did you know that this is one of the top 3 days for engagements? For those interested, the other 2 are Christmas Day and New Year's Eve - no surprises there.

For those of you who got engaged today - huge congratulations. Now comes the fun part, planning your big day and I would love to walk that journey with you as your chosen celebrant.

It's often a surprise for clients to hear that a marriage celebrant in Australia isn't restricted by state but can legally marry couples anywhere in Australia. How great is that! So that means, whilst most ceremonies are local, ie within an hour or so travel of the celebrants location, they can go wherever they want.

So. if you have found your ideal location, be it a garden, function space, beach, wherever, do reach out and ask if I will travel to the location - I am open to travel and love exploring beyond my local area and what better way to do it, than to participate in someone's very special day.

When it comes to planning your wedding, there are 3 key things to lock in early: your venue, the date and your celebrant. After that, you can take your time to plan and make key decisions.

Bereaved families often ask: do I have to use the funeral director to plan and conduct my loved ones ceremony?

The funeral director will cover off all the legal elements however you do not have to use them, or their in-house celebrant, if you would rather have some one else plan or conduct the ceremony.

Someone doesn't need to be qualified to be a funeral celebrant, however, it is worth considering involving someone experienced during these difficult and emotional times.

Not all celebrants conduct funerals, but those who do, will work closely with the funeral director to deliver a fitting tribute to your loved one.
