Our main girl Nat attended the Vinnies NSW Christmas Party last night for all Orange staff and volunteers 🎄🎁
Not only did she get to hang out with our amazing Vicki, but she also WON the prize for Best Dressed! 💃🔥

Nat has really put herself out there this year, giving anything and everything a go 🙌🏽🩷
Volunteering is such a selfless act and it truly speaks volumes about the kind of person she is. We are so proud of you, Nat! 🫶✨

Today our guys took a huge leap and committed themselves to attending a workshop focused on budgeting.
The workshop encouraged us to think about what we need vs what we want when it comes to spending money.
It also highlighted how spending money on things we don’t necessarily need (Temu 🙊 lol) can make us feel good for a bit but then we feel guilty, anxious and stressed for spending money that we don’t have.
This was a massive step for our guys and we are super proud of them!
A massive step, but an important step that will benefit them for a lifetime 🙌🏽
Thank you Lifeline in Orange for taking the time to teach us such a valuable life lesson ❤️

Kristen Hunter Orange City Council - Wiradjuri Country has played a huge part in Katie’s journey and in helping her get to where she is today 💛

Kristen and Katie first met years ago when Kristen was coordinating a vocational services program.
Kristen saw Katie’s potential straight away and helped kickstart the belief and momentum that Katie really can achieve anything she puts her mind to.

It was through this awesome duo that I met Katie — and that connection is still creating opportunities today.

Through Kristen’s project “Let’s Move Together” — a free program that removes barriers for women and girls of all ages to get involved in sport and physical activity — Katie was able to purchase a brand new pair of runners 👟 so she can attend RPT and take part in other physical activities with confidence. Katie does not remember the last time she ever owned a pair.

Sport and movement are so important for physical and mental health. Programs like Let’s Move Together support ongoing participation by:
• removing barriers,
• addressing discrimination, and
• promoting equality for women and girls in sport and active recreation.

We are so grateful for Kristen, for Orange City Council, and for programs that genuinely change lives for women of all walks of life in our local community. 💛🙌

- Caring for and cuddling horses

- Attending the cardiac rehabilitation program
- Starting the Beat It program designed for people with diabetes
- Playing Touch Football
- Shopping
- Winning guessing competitions
- Attending Bingo
- Celebrating Halloween
- Appreciating and participating in NAIDOC week celebrations
- Learning to weave baskets
