Hello and welcome to the Ancient wisdom modern mind podcast and today would like to share with you why some people find it hard to meditate and I will also offer some scientific support as to the power of meditation. We will also discuss some of the common reasons why we find it hard to meditate.

Meditation is an ancient tradition that is practiced in cultures all over the world to create a sense of calm and inner harmony. Although the practice has ties to many different religious teachings, meditation is less about faith and more about altering consciousness, finding awareness, and achieving peace.

Meditation can certainly be challenging, and even more so if we are uncertain as to why we are doing it. It can seem very odd to sit there just listening to the incessant chatter in our head, and we easily get bored if we do nothing for too long, even if it’s only 10 minutes.

Every facet, every department of your mind, is to be programmed by you. And unless you assume your rightful responsibility, and begin to program your own mind, the world will program it for you. This applies to any form of meditation, no matter what the purpose or method.

After years of hearing a plethora of reasons why people find it hard to meditate, here some common reasons:
► I work for 10 hours in a high pressure job barring the time lost in traffic and it is difficult to find the time to meditate.
► Sitting still in one place with eyes closed for 10 minutes are you kidding me?
► If i sit and meditate, I’ll be looked at as somebody from another planet. My friends would ask what's wrong with you.
► My family thinks that if I meditate, i will become a recluse. I don't want to upset them
► Once i close my eyes what am i supposed to do next what will happen in meditation
► It’s always too noisy at home
► When society is facing numerous challenges poverty conflict unemployment and corruption at this time you expect me to sit and meditate, when so much needs to be done.

Listen to the podcast till end to learn all the reasons in details and beside that I also offer some simple solutions to these apparently difficult situations. Over time, regular meditation will help change a lot of things; you might notice good things happening around you because you meditate!

We are all familiar with phrases like “time flies when you are having fun” and “a watched pot never boils” and this subjective perception of time is made all the more apparent by the various temporal illusions we experience.

This suggests that our perception of time is a subjective experience of the perceived duration of events, which can differ significantly between different individuals and/or in different circumstances, and yet paradoxically physical time appears to be more or less objective.

Our modern understanding of time is rooted in Newtonian classical mechanics, but our sense of time is a product of consciousness, this at first glance seems to suggest that time is fixed. But I am suggesting that the fixed idea of time is flawed become of the old idea that time is a Four Dimensional construct.

What is a nihilistic view of knowledge? Is Nisargadatta Maharaj enlightened?

And I will also discuss why Sri Nisargadatta ideas are nihilistic and will show how Sri Nisargadatta's lack of personal power is the reason for his failure to realize enlightenment.

Hello, and welcome to the Ancient wisdom modern mind podcast and today I am going to discuss why Sri Nisargadatta Maharaj’s ideas are nihilistic, and I will also show how Sri Nisargadatta’s lack of personal power is the reason for his failure to realize enlightenment.

And before I start this podcast I want to say that if you are a follower of Sri Nisargadatta, understand that this is not intended as a personal attack, my only intent is to save you time by pointing out philosophies or gurus that will trip you up. I respect your valuable time, your valuable awareness and my only intent is to point out the potholes in the road on your journey.

So keep an open mind and if you are feeling triggered, then pause the podcast and take a few deep breaths, and remind yourself that we all have one common enemy “which is our selves” and then listen until the end of the podcast before you pass judgment

Nisargadatta Maharaj (17 April 1897 – 8 September 1981), born Maruti Shivrampant Kambli, was an Indian guru of nondualism, belonging to the Inchagiri Sampradaya, a lineage of teachers from the Navnath Sampradaya and Lingayat Shaivism.

The publication in 1973 of I Am That, an English translation of his talks in Marathi by Maurice Frydman, brought him worldwide recognition and followers, especially from North America and Europe.

So why would I call Sri Nisargadatta a nihilistic guru, and it’s not because of his talks, although there is a nihilistic tone there, but really most philosophies have a nihilistic tone, it’s really how you interpret what is said that adds the context.

Why I say that Sri Nisargadatta was Nihilistic listen to the podcast, and let me know in the comments what you think.
