Funny how the loudest voices telling you to “get over it” were never the ones who helped you carry it.

They weren’t there in the aftermath. They weren’t there when you were shaking, spiralling, trying to make sense of what was happening in that house. They didn’t sit with you after the blow-ups, the silent treatments, the humiliation, the guilt trips that made you feel like a monster for having normal needs. They didn’t step in when you were a child and it was obvious you weren’t safe emotionally. They just turned up later, once it was inconvenient to hear about it and demanded you move on for the sake of everyone else’s comfort.

“Get over it” is what people say when they want the topic gone, not the pain healed. It’s a clean little sentence that lets them opt out without admitting they’re opting out. It’s the same energy as “that’s still your mum” and “she did her best” and “don’t hold grudges”. It’s not guidance. It’s dismissal. It’s them protecting the image, protecting the peace, protecting themselves from having to acknowledge what they watched and ignored.

It also puts the responsibility right back on you. As if the only issue is your reaction, not what caused it. As if you’re being dramatic for still feeling the impact of years of emotional abuse and neglect. As if a lifetime of being controlled, minimised and made to doubt your own reality is something you should be able to shake off because someone else is bored of hearing about it.

It’s like being shoved into the ocean, left to swallow water alone, then being judged for not being dry fast enough. No towel offered. No hand pulled you out. Just criticism for still being wet. That’s what “get over it” is. A demand for a result without offering any support, repair, or accountability.

So notice who says it. Notice who gets irritated by your healing. Notice who only wants you “better” when better means quieter, more convenient, less honest. The people who genuinely care don’t rush your process. They don’t shame you for still having a wound. They don’t pressure you to forgive or forget so they can feel comfortable.

If the same people who told you to get over it never helped you through it, their opinion is irrelevant. They don’t get to rush a healing process they never supported.

Accessing Worthiness

There is a wound that lives quietly beneath the majority of those who are having the human experience …
a subtle, persistent feeling of not enough.

Unworthiness is not a flaw.
It is a protector.

It forms in the nervous system as a way to guard us from the echoes of terror, rejection, loss, or overwhelm that once felt too big to hold.
This inner guardian does not seek to harm us; it seeks to keep us safe from re-feeling what once felt unbearable.

And so it builds its strategies:
defense mechanisms, suppression, perfectionism, avoidance, constant striving.
All forms of protection. All expressions of intelligence.

Yet the same protector that keeps the wound sealed
also keeps the doorway to liberation closed …
until we are ready to sit gently with what it has been guarding.

To access worthiness is not to “fix” ourselves.
It is to turn toward the places within that still tremble.

This is not comfortable work.
It asks us to meet the parts that learned to survive through contraction …
the fight, flight, freeze, or appease patterns that once ensured our safety.
And it asks us to bring presence where there has been fear.

In my experience with clients, there is often one core moment …
a crystallized point in the nervous system…
that exists almost like a guardian in space and time.

When we meet that moment with safety, compassion, and witnessing,
something extraordinary begins to unfold.

The body softens.
The story loosens.
And the deeper truth emerges:

✨ Worthiness was never lost.
It was simply waiting for permission to be felt again.

I am continually humbled by what happens when someone allows themselves to be fully seen in their most tender place …
when their “precious” wound is held not as something broken,
but as a sacred threshold to becoming more of one's truest essence.

In that field of absolute acceptance,
the nervous system reorganizes.
New pathways open.
And it can feel the dormant codes within us awaken …
a remembering of our inherent value, our belonging, our right to exist fully.

This is the worthiness timeline.

Embodiment of worthiness does not make life perfect …
but it aligns us with our highest trajectory,
because our choices begin to arise from truth rather than protection.

For those just beginning this exploration:
start with kindness toward the parts of you that doubt.

For those deep on the path:
notice how worthiness expands your capacity to hold complexity, intimacy, and power with grace.

And for all of us …
may we remember that healing is not about becoming someone new,
but about allowing the parts of us that have always been whole
to finally be felt, integrated, and embodied.

If this speaks to something within you,
take a slow breath and place a hand over your heart.
Notice what happens when you offer yourself the simple recognition:

“I am always worthy"

With reverence for the courage it takes to feel.

DAY 4 of Sound of Being Facilitator Training.

Four days ago, I felt apprehensive about facilitating a 45-minute sound bath. Today, I was pleasantly surprised by how quickly the time elapsed and I'm feeling confident that in a few days time I will be able to deliver a 90 minutes experience aswell. Today was a more practical day where we applied everything we've learned so far. We also covered Shamanic practices, a subject very close to my heart.
Looking for people to practice my new found love on when I return home. Who's in ?????
