ABOUT YOUR THERAPIST

I have lived on the Sunshine Coast since 2012, short time after relocating I changed careers from being a school bus driver to massage therapist qualifying locally in 2013. 2016 I completed Diploma in remedial massage at Q Academy. I branched out from massage a little in 2017 and found Craniosacral therapy and it’s benefits. So 2019 qualified with diploma in Biodynamic Craniosacral therapy. Following my hunger for knowledge I have delved into the world of functional health. I have a holistic approach to health and practical ways you can apply to your everyday life. Massage is known as complementary therapy which is used widely in the community in the prevention and management of a range of disorders. Based on holistic principals it’s essentially practised to improve the health status of individuals. I have found regular massage is the key to managing our general well-being. As nutrient supply to muscles is increased, repairs to damaged tissue and recovery from fatigue (via lactic acid removal) can take place. Massage stimulates natural pain relief and the circulation of lymph, aiding the immune system. Massage improves all-over body functions, reduces adhesions and maintains flexibility.

It is through deep consideration, courage and a lot of emotions that I write this.

As of February 27th I will be closing my practice on the Sunshine Coast permanently, before the roll over of a new lease.

I feel blessed to have been given a home for the past 12 years for me to raise my girls and for them to feel stable in a home that I could grow my business in. But it is time for me to part with it, as my family is going from 3 to 2 with my eldest considering her next steps.

It has been with purpose, support and community that has enabled me to stay this long. I can’t thank you all enough for the ongoing encouragement and business over the past years. Some have come along way with me on my body working journey. Some of whom I consider friends.

You all have very smart bodies. Trust in that and the whispers of wisdom.

I am taking booking Monday to Friday January and February.

This trip is buried in my soul…

Holloywood, Rodeo drive Beverly Hills, holloywood walk of fame, bel air then sunset blvd to Santa Monica pier to have dinner at bubba gumps. Seemed fitting as this was forest gumps turn around point and we already saw where he stopped running. For us it’s our turn around. Almost homeward bound.

Bling bling bling… city of lights, Vegas can’t say you were on my to do list a worldly experience. A bit of exposure and stimulation. The visuals make you feel like your walking an illusion. The smells just as overwhelming to your senses.

We were wild mountain girls yesterday morning. Telluride Colorado. We loved this place. Witness an historical house being moved in its tiny streets. Wish we had more time here. But our days of having no showers and listening to the sounds of mountains rivers and rocks are ending today as we make our last leg back to Denver.

We had a plan of what we wanted to see (there was too much and we had to cull) but have not run off time, I have no idea what day of the week it is. There has been a peace in that. Up with sun ☀️ we fill our days with things we weren’t aware of. Make stops to take a photo or me simply to break the winding roads. And have found some amazing camping spots.

It’s been the journey my body and soul needed to revisit. Much gratitude 🙏

Along our travels people have told us that certain places are better than others and most say the Grand Canyon is something else.

This part of the trip van life was for me. It has been a visual ride. Everything is grand. It makes you feel small but big at the same time.

I had a pre conceived idea this would disappoint after everything we have seen. It’s been more than expected. The stillness this place holds is large. Although the canyon is growing each year the thickness of a piece of paper. The rain slowed us down. An IMAX experience where we finally got some dream time stories. Then through the clouds, windows of opportunity morning and afternoon as the canyon glowed.

Feeling grateful for the peace felt as we wind up the nature and soon hit city lights.
