At LFN, it’s such an exciting time because it’s almost time to return to classes post maternity leave 🙌🏼
And with this, since becoming a mum, there have been SO many learnings I’ll be taking with me into our classes, especially those with our fabulous, strong mummas 💪🏻 👇🏼
1. Your body is sore, a lot. Not just from pregnancy but from the lifting of a bub every day- the wrist pain is something else & is something we’re going to work on a lot on our classes- stretching & flexibility!
2. Strength training really is the MVP for mums- we need it to carry our beautiful bundles, to do what needs to be done at home and to work however we choose.
3. Short, sharp and effective workouts are the best- we’re time poor and we want to use our time efficiently. Strength circuits, some HIIT Training and Pilates & Pelvic floor work are fabulous 💜
4. In general, it’s so important to get out of the house every day to give you some ‘me’ time. The house starts to get very, very boring doing the same routine 😅
5. Speaking of routine, having something every day or week that’s just for you is so important for our physical and mental fitness. For me, that’s been getting down the coast & going for long walks with the pram & squeezing in workouts in nap times. I know our Mums & Bubs classes are just that for our community and that makes me so happy 🫶🏼

One of our beautiful Mummas from Mums & Bubs shared how she felt doing our classes. What really got us was the ‘feeling like myself again’ part💜
When we make that giant leap into motherhood, it’s one of the biggest life changes imaginable and often, we take a backseat while we raise our precious little bundle. But the thing is, you too deserve to be cared for and natured, it’s essential for your own health and happiness 🧡
We absolutely LOVE helping all the mums we work with feel like themselves agsin through really focusing on strengthening every part of their bod, but especially the core + pelvic floor in all of our Mums & Bubs sessions.

As a new mum, it can often be so confusing a as to what core & pelvic floor exercises are safe + suitable for you to start doing post-partum. These are just some of the many we sprinkle into our Mums & Bubs classes & our private sessions 💜🫶🏼
With every client we work with, we recommend you first see your Women’s Health Physio during your pregnancy & 6 weeks post-partum to receive your return to exercises clearance to start doing these exercises 🙌🏼
Let us know if you give these a go this week. Really focus in on moving slowly, with control through each movement.

I'm so excited to continue offering our fun, feel-good Matwork & Reformer Pilates classes to our community & bringing a very unique flavour to them too 😄

I’m so deeply humbled and honoured to have been named the Pilates Instructor of the Year last night! 🏆
I’m beyond grateful to be able to bring my own fun, feel-good and energetic version of Pilates to our classes, one that isn’t traditional by any means, but is unique and very much what I wanted to see in the industry when I first started teaching.
I’m excited to keep expanding what we’re doing at LFN with more fun & feel-good Pilates offerings for all of our beautiful clients 💜
The biggest thank you goes to all of our incredible LFN Clients- I’m so grateful I get to teach you each week & for all the fun & laughs we have in every class. 💜

🌸What I’ve learned since becoming a Mum🌸
3 months ago, my gorgeous son was born & let me just say, it has been the biggest blessing. The thing with having a bub is that it’s taught me SO much about fitness, it’s role in our lives as mum & so much else. These are some of the things I’m taking with me into LFN, our beautiful Mum clients & beyond:👇
1. 10 minutes between naps is plenty to get a good workout in (10 minute Pilates workouts have been my go to lately!)
2. You can’t expect perfection from yourself- the truth is you just have to use the time you have and if you have a chance to move, great, if not, just roll with it.
3. Sometimes the best workout is just having a dance party in the garage with your bub- it’s good for both of you!
4. What our bodies go through giving birth and growing a baby is incredible. Give it time to rest and don’t be in a rush to push yourself into working out before you’re ready.
5. A walk a day really is the best medicine.
🌸As I start to get ready to reintroduce classes at LFN for the Spring/ Summer, I’d love to hear from you if a) you’ve had a bub and what they’ve taught you about health, fitness & beyond and b) if you’re a mum who wants to have some time for her. Our Mums & Bubs classes will be one of our first classes back, very, very soon in Bingara Gorge. 🥳

I’m Corinne and I’m your trainer! :-) I’ve worked in the Fitness & Health industry for over 7 years and as a Group Fitness Industry, Personal Trainer & Advanced Nutrition & Health Coach, I’m so passionate about helping you reach your health & fitness goals through making fitness & nutrition fun, exciting and most importantly, AMAZING!
