🏅 Tri State Games 2026 – Mildura 🏅

We’re excited to start planning for the Tri State Games in Mildura from 9–14 November 2026!

This is an amazing opportunity for participants to travel together, meet new people, try different sports, and be part of a really fun and supportive event.

We are now opening Expressions of Interest for anyone who may like to attend. This will help us begin planning supports, accommodation, transport, and registrations.

We’re growing at RISE 🌿

RISE Disability Support Services is seeking a reliable and detail oriented Finance Administration Officer to join our team.

This is a part time position, 8 hours per week, with availability required on Mondays and Fridays. There is opportunity for additional hours as the organisation continues to grow.

This role will support our financial operations, including invoicing, payroll assistance and general finance administration. Experience in bookkeeping or accounts is preferred, and knowledge of Xero, Employment Hero or NDIS billing is highly regarded.

We are looking for someone organised, trustworthy and confident working independently, who values structure and takes pride in accuracy.

We’re firing up the BBQ at Bunnings Portland!

Join us on Saturday 21st February from 9am – 4pm for a classic Bunnings sausage sizzle and help support our amazing RISE participants heading to the Tri State Games 💪🏽🏅

Every sausage and drink purchased helps our participants access opportunities, build confidence, and be part of something bigger in our community.

🌟 Join the RISE Team – Disability Support Workers Wanted 🌟

Do you want a role where your work genuinely matters? Rise Disability Support Services is expanding, and we’re looking for compassionate, dependable people who are ready to support others to live meaningful, independent lives.

What you’ll be doing:
• Supporting participants in their homes and out in the community
• Assisting individuals to work towards their NDIS goals and build everyday skills
• Encouraging confidence, choice, and independence
• Working closely with families and a supportive team to deliver high quality care

What we’re looking for:
• Certificate IV in Disability (completed or in progress)
• Experience, or strong understanding of disability and/or mental health
• Current driver’s licence and reliable vehicle
• Availability for a mix of shifts including some evenings and weekends
• Police Check, First Aid and CPR, NDIS Worker Screening Check, and Working With Children Check (or willingness to obtain)

The craft groups at RISE have been working hard over the last few weeks to create this amazing scarecrow and we are so proud of the result!

From painting and decorating to adding all the little details, this was a true team effort. The butterflies, the overalls, the RISE badge… every part was made with creativity and care.

You can see our scarecrow on display today at the Tyrrendarra Show. Make sure you pop by and have a look and show the team some love.

The programs offer a wonderful mix of adventure, creativity and social connection, with activities including:

🎨 Tie dye sessions
🎈 Inflatable playground fun

HEY PORTLAND! What are you doing Feb 7?!?

The people of Portland have been great supporters of the DSA Warrnambool events over the years, and you deserve a surf a bit closer to home!

We're on the hunt for surfers of all ages and abilities that want to have a surfing experience. We have specialised equipment to get you onto the sand, and onto a board! Plus a team of very experienced Disabled Surfers Association members to make it all run smoothly and safely!

We're also on the hunt for an Army of Volunteers to help out on the day. No experience in disability or surfing needed - just bring a keen-to-help attitude and we'll take care of the rest.

Love to see you there for our inaugural Portland/Cape Bridgewater event!
