To all families, participants, and carers within our community 🤍
We know that the recent updates announced by NDIS Minister Bill Shorten have left many of you feeling uncertain, overwhelmed, and, for some, deeply saddened.
Please know this — your feelings are valid.
For many families, the National Disability Insurance Scheme is not just a system; it is the foundation that supports your loved one’s safety, independence, and quality of life. Any changes, especially when unclear or unexpected, can feel incredibly confronting.
During times like this, it is important to stay connected, informed, and supported. You are not alone in navigating these changes. As a community, we will continue to advocate, ask questions, and ensure that the voices of participants and families are heard and respected.
We encourage you to reach out, lean on your support networks, and seek guidance where needed. There is strength in standing together, and together, we will continue to push for outcomes that are fair, transparent, and centred around the needs of people living with disability.
We stand with you — always.
🤍
